Very canny ride, saw the pace wasn’t as fast as they’d have liked so moved up early. a couple of good races today, the big boat The Edgar Wallace made a good chase debut.
I love these few weeks where the NH season really kicks into gear. You've got top class action every weekend (Betfair Chase day this weekend, the Hennessy, Fighting Fifth and Fairyhouse next weekend, then its Tingle Creek / Becher Chase / John Durkan / Hilly Way weekend beginning of December, the weekend after its the International meeting at Cheltenham, the weekend after its the Long Walk meeting at Ascot and then its the Christmas bonanza in the UK and Ireland) but also during the week there are plenty of good horses out (especially novices having their first runs). Brilliant
Interesting runner in the Market Rasen bumper - Gay Smith paid €155,000 for Springwell Bay - and then sent him to Jonjo O'Neill. Obviously expected to start paying his way today as he is 4/6
Another Crawford hotpot in the Newcastle bumper but the form looks pretty ordinary to be taking odds on. I think point winner Dondiam can take this.
