2 months of bus trips without a win - possibly an ingredient Nigel's motivational and health 'n safety speech when leaving the depot at SMS.
But we've only lost twice. Keep winning at home, add in some away draws and the odd win, that's Champion's form.
I'm 8 games into the season. 6 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. But that one defeat?..... 3-0 away to Reading. Omen?
2-1 saints What price boro, derby, west ham and Brighton drawing ...... Oooh I don't want to think about being seven points clear!!!!!
hahahahaha all you stupid saints fans completly underestimating us Reading 3 - 0 Southampton Adam Le Fondre Hat Trick
Referring to Saints fans on a Saints board as stupid is a careless act (even if this is a cross board thread), however i'm willing to respond to your post: I'll refer you to my post near the beginning of this thread: A point would be nice from this one, 3 would be a delight! I'm certain we'll go there and play to win, just as we have with every single match this season. If the team put in a performance that they're capable of, we will come away with victory. However, I am a little worried about fatigue as the players put in such a big effort against West Ham. I can see Adkins shuffling the pack a little for this game, bring in a few changes - we have such quality and depth within the squad though, this shouldn't be a problem. As others have said, we definitely shoudn't underestimate Reading, that would be careless. Just because we've beaten West Ham, doesn't mean we're going to tear it up against lower placed sides in the division. We maybe flying high at the moment, but there's is a lot of quality in the Championship, let's not forget that.
Really? I've seen lots of people on here (me included) who haven't predicted a Saints win, or at the very least have mentioned that it will be a tough game that we'll do well to win. Do you not think you're being hypocitical, saying that you'll beat us 3-0? After all, we're top of the league, have just beaten West Ham, have scored in every single game this season, and have never lost a game by more than one goal? So if we're underestimating you, then you are also underestimating us. I've got absoloutely nothing wrong with you predicting a 3-0 Reading win. If that is what you believe then fine, and after all why wouldn't you side with your own team. But don't come on here having a go at us for predictions at the same time. There was no need for that.
How is saying Saints will win 2-1 underestimating Reading?. It will be a tough game but i think will just edge it.
My word, a Royals fan on here: well done! As he, I believe, rightly points out: Le Fondre! He's gonna be threat. It's the old adage about losing when you shouldn't...like against Brentford at home last year (our last league home defeat?).
