Good Morning. It's Wednesday 17th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Leeds to raid Boro for versatile midfielder

Marcus Tavernier is the latest in a long line of midfielders to be linked with a move to Elland Road. The Versatile midfielder currently applies his trade at the Riverside Stadium under new Manager Chris Wilder who replaced Neil Warnock a fortnight ago.

Tavernier was born in Leeds, but has been part of the Boro set up since the age of 14. Victor Orta, is a big fan of the player, overseeing his progress from the youth ranks during his time there. In 15 outings this term, He has played in five different positions. He is the younger brother of former Leeds academy player James, the current Rangers Captain. Southampton, Brighton and Burnley are also credited with an interest in the 22yo.

Viduka inducted into Australia's Hall of Fame

Leeds United legend Mark Viduka has been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame as part of their Class of 2021.

The Aussie heavyweight was bought to Elland Road by David O'Leary in the Summer of 2000-01 from Scottish outfit Celtic. He played 130 times over his four year tenure, netting 59 times He captained the Socceroos at the 2006 World Cup, the only time they have progressed to the second round. During his time at Leeds, he was billed at 91kg, over 14 stone. Had he been playing for Leeds today, how would he have got on?

    Raphinha stitched up

A bloodied Raphinha had to receive 5 stitches in his face after being elbowed by Nicolas Otamendi during Brazil's encounter with Argentina earlier this morning. The incident went unnoticed by both referee and VAR. By all accounts, the Leeds No 10 had a quiet game, & was substituted 20 minutes from time. The game ended 0-0.

James intramental in Wales draw v Belgium

Plucky Wales held their own during a 1-1 draw with Belgium last night in Cardiff. Dan James was a constant pain in their side, often getting the better of the visitor's defence. He was also credited for an assist for Wales' equaliser. His looping cross fell to Moore who fired home a low shot from the middle of the area.

Mark Viduka, imo just what we need, although not as mobile as possibly bielsa would like, new where the back of the net was from in and around the box, we would just need Harrison, James etc to deliver a quality cross & Mark would do the rest.
    Morning all
    :)

From Raphinha in a Brazilian interview, is this a player looking to leave and has stopped believing in the project?:

However, speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Raphinha has outlined his big ambitions with Leeds.

“From my first days at the club, I already saw how special Bielsa was.

“He is a guy who works a lot, who knows a lot about soccer. He is the typical professional who dedicates 100% of his time to the institution he represents and we are very lucky that he is our coach. Bielsa knows how to get the most out of each one of us. This makes us raise our level.”
we hope to play in the Champions League soon, this is our goal

TBF, a player (some gripers excepted) is unlikely to publicly state discontent with their current club. Why that elbow wasn't punished is beyond me - clearly deliberate.

Premier League chairman Gary Hoffman will step down from his role at the end of January 2022.

The above headline should cause an outcry in our media but it’ll go very quiet. I say an outcry but not against Hoffman but he has been forced out by Prem League owners and I include Radz in this. Hoffman did what he was legally obliged to do and accept the new owners of Newcastle, yet because these club owners have a serious problem with Saudi Arabia they lose their shyt. Yet these same owners keep quite about murders like Shinawatra, or the Qatar government who have been found guilty of mass murder, slavery, wrongful imprisonment, kidnap…. They even kept quiet when gangsters were money laundering through football clubs and how the porn kings of WHU are allowed in football I will never know. The biggest human rights abusers in the world are China and yet again our media and these same club owners keep quiet about mass murder, slavery and genocide on an industrial scale, why? Why are the Saudi’s the bad guy in a world of football where its full of very bad guys.

Oh look Reading deducted 9 points for cheating FFFP rules. Amazing isnt it that all the clubs who get done for cheating are all ex Prem clubs relegated and wasted their parachute payments…. Best sell John Swift nowor he walks for free in the summer

17 teams in the Championship have been relegated from the Prem and have had parachute money. 14 of those teams have gotten into financial trouble and we also know those who cheated the system like Swansea, Derby, Hull, Cardiff QPR, Birmingham add Sheff Wednesday and Villa from different leagues and more and they tried to game the system to get hold of prem riches.

Just think how tough it is to get out of the Championship with 17 of the teams who have been in the prem, it was only half the clubs when we we were getting out
