Off Topic Football Manager 2022

I’ve downloaded it see if it’s any good. Can’t be worse than FIFA.

 

£200m starting budget with £600k a week in the wage budget. Having bought this since I was a kid and its better predecessor Champ Manager at least its a fun start in the transfer window

 

Fifa is turd like. I knew I wouldn't like it then still bought it, just to prove I don't like it. Idiotic of me

Tried this game. It's really, really boring. Why the **** does anyone need that much info, it's not like I'm paid a salary to play it.

Press conferences - jesus wept, utterly tiresome.

Injuries, that always seem to happen in groups to the same ****ing player (i.e. if you've got your 1st choice right winger out, you'll almost certainly lose your 2nd and 3rd choice soon after).

Games that make absolutely zero sense, I've replayed a couple of matches with weird results.

Far too much detail on training, etc., but I just skip it repeatedly and as I'm top of the PL, Carabao Cup winners, etc., seems to make zero diff.

Only thing that was mildly fun was the deadline day. Particularly, as a Newcastle fan, I haven't experienced an actual deadline day for 15 years.

All in all, the game is no better than Champ Manager 2001. Unless I'm just doing it wrong?

Press confrences can be dealt with by sending your assistant, injuries tend to be linked to training the players too hard or over playing the poor wee prima donnas.

Going to start new save with the team predicted to finish last in the football league (can’t remember who it is) and see how far can take.

Tend to do that as my long save and either try take them to the very top, or change clubs every couple years and see where I can get to.

 

I started playing it and I think there is far to much **** to get through. I understand that people enjoy the detail but for me it’s far to involved and the press conferences I just don’t see the point in all the mind numbing questions.

Personally I feel like it’s gone to far and unless your unemployed without kids or a wife it takes about 2 months to complete a season which is no good for me.

McClaren is considered like one of the best coaches in the country right?

 

This is a ****ing myth. Mclaren sat next to Fergie and fingered his bum on the bench and was therefore kind of credited with Fergie's work. A bit like how Steve Bruce was always going to be his replacement back in the day. All Media bullshit.

 

Ha maybe: I work about 60 hours a week so I literally see them just before bed.
