The purpose of the tattoos used by the SS was to identify their blood group in case they needed a transfusion. The idea of identifying blood group in this way was tried later on some American schoolchildren ?

Schoolchildren and adults. Blood was in short supply thanks to the Korean War and the doctor thought it would make things easier/quicker if everyone had their blood type tattooed on their body.

    Over to you.

Cheers cologne - it's little wonder I've never really taken to ice hockey...

Apart from having been politicians and prime ministers, what connects Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher and Bob Hawke?

Well, I know that Bob Hawke once drank a Yard of Ale in 11 seconds - I suspect Tony Blair might also have been into that sort of thing - but then Margaret Thatcher came to mind and it's time to think again <laugh> They all studied at Oxford ?

It does have something to do with Oxford, but not study.
I think you could add Bill Clinton into the mix too, although not as frequently as the others.

Ah. Dang. I do play darts for my Local. I'm in the camp of it being a parlour game like snooker rather than a sport. Right, best I find a question...

In 1967 and in 1968, the Oscar winning song for each year were both sung by English actors. The singer of the winning song in 1967 was the father of the singer of the 1968 song. Name the father and the son; and the titles of the songs that the sang?
