I’m heading to York for Christmas this year to spend it with my auntie and uncle. Looking forward to it
All sounds good. Only thing I would be slightly wary of with that menu is just how much they have got on it. Sometimes a big menu can mean the overall quality isn’t as good. That said, everting on there sounds delicious. I’d order one of each to make sure
The thing that would bug me on this type of thing is the mark up on wine. You'd be paying £25+ for wine that you could get for a tenner. **** that, unless it's BYO, I'd rather be drinking good quality wine at home on tap than being bummed to the tune of twenty five quid a bottle.
Given that place is charge a tenner for a glass of champagne, I reckon it’ll be £40+ for an average bottle of plonk.
Nice around Xmas time. has that old school feel about it. Will be getting train up one weekend in December and getting pissed as a fart during day no doubt
Yeah going away for Xmas is extortionate. Did it a few years ago and it was 3k per person for Xmas Eve to the 27th, 3 nights and basically 3 days. Was **** all to do as well
Done Xmas dinner out a few times, it's ****. Someone has to drive, then it's regimented and you are either delayed in or rushed out if they are having two sittings. Even worse with your kids and others running about the ga Just order all my sides from M&S and have a turkey from the local butcher along with a ham. This year I have ordered a pork loin with belly to do a porchetta for NYE
Going to Cornwall for a couple of nights after we play Bristol City on the 30th. Surprisingly cheap for what looks a very good place.
Piskie putting you up? Ive been to cornwall before, not my cup of tea but realise I’m in the minority on that
