Doing some scouting for the prospective new regime at Hull City. Taking in the Turkey v Gibraltar game European Qualifier. Whose still playing for Gib but Hull’s own Scott Wiseman.
The strikers for Turkey looking sharp,Scott has got his hands full 3 0 Turkey Halftime.

That was never a sending off. That's got to be a homer official ensuring the hosts win. The Gib lad clearly won the ball. If that's the standard of reffing for Qatar 2022, we might as well give up now.

I said it before, but to sign any of Turkey's international squad, we'd have to shell out a hell of a lot of money.

This reminds me of one evening in Hong Kong I was in my hotel room, put the TV on and Football was on, and to my amazement, Iain Hesford was in goal.

Maybe a couple of Under 21 players, with Acuns links and his profile in Turkey I can envisage players wanting to try playing in the Championship with him at the helm.

That's more likely, but then you've got the problem of a work permit.

Maybe have to be loan deals. Not sure about the rules for non EU players on permanent transfers. Acun’s links with the likes of PSG’ owners and Dutch football could help with signings loan and permanent. Exciting times ahead is my view if all goes well!

It's a bit more complicated since Brexit for EU players, but signing non-EU players when in the Championship has always been a pisser. Before we could get away with it because they had dual nationality, but now, much harder.

As I understand it incoming players need a visa just like any other foreign national but there is a special visa for sportspeople. However it is aimed at 'elite' sportspeople, whatever that means, but it probably isn't championship level footballers.

Sorry BB don't understand. What's Tom Eaves got to do with foreign nationals?

Never mind, I was just referring to the word ‘elite’ & wondering if it was to the standard of elite we currently have with Tom.
