Current team has more pace out wide and certainly technically superior in the middle of the park, though we lack the goal threat of Windass and Campbell and the airial threat of Turner, but I reckon current team would beat 2007/08 team
It's pretty tough to compare the 07/08 team with this one. For a start, the 07/08 team actually achieved. This one has promise but until it's fulfilled, the 07/08 team remains our best. If I was picking a team from both, I'd go: Myhill Rosenior Turner Chester Dawson (08 version) Brady Ashbee Koren Pedersen Windass Campbell Something like that. Tons of good players left out though. Okocha, Folan, Fryatt, McLean, Evans, Cairney, McKenna, Brown, Basso, etc.
Really shows the good work NP has done over the last 14 months. We've gone from a squad mostly full of journeymen and deadwood to a team that can compete with the best in this league. Everyone said in pre season that this would be the season to judge him as he had now got his own players together, and the Leeds and Palace games aside he hasn't proved the doubters right imo.
