A simply sensational 1st half from England.
Truly one of the top Nations.
Albania are no mugs, but got it totally wrong in the first half, pressing high up and allowing England to break the press and get at them.
Kane looked back to his best and James is a fantastic talent. Great to see Phillips back in the midfield too.
As so often happens when a team has won the game by half time, they dropped their intensity second half and took their foot off the pedal. Also, lots of subs tend to make it scrappy.
It was good to see Smith-Rowe and Bellingham get on, although I thought all the subs tried too hard to impress and tried too much.
Only negative for me was, if Kane is out injured for any length of time, Abraham is nowhere near good enough.
Anyway, superb England and nearly qualified, barring an absolute miracle in San Marino.

Well done England, but frankly the frequency of these international breaks which requires us (QPR) to play 3 games every 8 days all season, with the consequent injuries, tiredness and lack of time for proper coaching, is ****ing irritating. Doubtless with the World Cup, which no one will boycott, falling in the middle of next season it will make everything even worse, and give us a year of virtually continuous competition. The PL is taking a six week break in November - December, so presumably the Championship will as well but with more games to cram in plus play off games it will be even worse.

I like it when the schedule is hectic. Saturday 3pm & Tuesday 7:45. My bigger gripe is the Sky noncery of moving weekend games to Friday/Monday.

However I’ve booked a few days in the South-West to coincide with Bristol City away, so that one has worked out.

I'd guess next season may kick off in July, let's hope Lockdown doesn't recur...

I am so underwhelmed by international football these days that I’ve only just realised that England played last night and aren’t playing today.

I know I should be excited, but I’m not.

Brilliant win for Ireland over the All Blacks this afternoon. Ferocious tackling and a passion that you rarely see from England teams.

It was a brilliant game. No doubt the best team won. Watched it in my hotel in Spain. Happy hour just started at the bar too. The pints are flowing lol.

Great result for the Irish, fast becoming the All Black's bogey team...

Does anybody know how you can filter the women’s football off the BBC Football web page? Just because some arse has decided to use my licence fee to show televised WSL games because they can’t get near Stratosphere prices for the EPL doesn’t make it any more of a spectacle in my eyes. Can’t we have beach volleyball instead, please?

Right. England were World Cup finalists without showing passion. Your ancestry bias is showing, Strolls :emoticon-0100-smile

Well done Ireland. A significant victory.

No bias, Goldie. Ireland would be my third team in the Six Nations after England and Wales.

England will never play wide expansive rugby while Jones is in charge and Farrell is playing. Its not in their DNA. Its more about the result than the performance. He tried to take us away from the way we played with the Forwards dominating games and grinding out wins but it just hasn't happened. We have still been successful just not in the 6 Nations of late. We certainly have enough young talent coming through to play a more attacking game it just won't happen under his guidance !

Jones started a 22 year old at fly half and moved Farrell to accommodate him.
There are other youngsters coming through too.
England are heading in the right direction imo.

Serbia win in Portugal with Mitrovic scoring in the 90th minute. Sends Portugal into the play off, the Sweaties better hope to avoid them and Wales.
