If you said, "next year I am not growing pumpkins" would you concur that would imply that you wouldn't be growing pumpkins for the whole year or are you going to try and worm out of it like that other arsehole is trying and failing?

I am going to make this very easy for you and your bum chum. If I said I was not going on holiday next summer then that would imply that for the whole summer I would not be going on holiday. If I said I was going on holiday next summer then that would imply at some stage in the summer I would be going on holiday, maybe even going on holiday for the whole summer.

No, still on antibiotics and not really felt like beer to be honest. Since last Tuesday I have had about 4 bottles of beer. It won't do me any harm not to drink for a while, although this place may change my mind.

 

FYI for anyone growing pumpkins for Halloween next year, you will need to start around April as they can take 6 months.

So you can grow pumpkins for half the year at least, not all year.

A mate of mine is going to make a New Year's resolution and not drink next year. I wonder if that means he won't drink for the whole year or does he need to specify the dates he won't be drinking. I suppose it is just one of life's little conundrums.
