It's Bodger at the Polish Air Force Memorial in his constituency of Uxbridge. The Fail has this picture of it in yesterday's bullshit: please log in to view this image He tweeted about attending himself:
Remember when we were told that Tim Pool was clearly a centrist? Anyway, let's check in with right-wing comedy and see what that can come up with...
Not sure about the second one. Almost every tax jurisdiction has some arrangements to make sure collective investment schemes don't pay Corporation Tax. That is simply to put them on the same footing as individual investments. In the UK, the Isle of Man and Jersey or Guernsey serve this purpose. In the US it is Delaware. There is no tax avoidance going on. It's just that you pay the same amount of tax as you would if you invested directly.
I'll hand this over to somebody who understands tax better than I do ...judging by how I always seem to wind up with a rebate of £30-80 every bloody year
That's a comment on the other tweet. Looks like that one might be a bit wrong too. Shame really, like to see Rees Morgan in jail.
Oliver Dowden scored an own goal on BBC Breakfast this morning akin to something you'd associate with Bernard off Yes Minister. When asked why the Prime Minister couldn't simply say sorry for the way it cynically tried to bypass the punishment of his MP by trying to force through legislation retrospectively, Dowden without thinking, tried to trot out the "go to" government condascension of saying "What's important to people, what they really want, is for us to move on and get on with the job" To which the BBC host replied.... depends what job they want to get on with. The ministerial one or the second and third ones. I doubt Dowden used that line again whilst doing the rounds on all the TV and Radio channels after that! I hope EVERY time one of those patronising ****s trots out that line they get the same treatment!
