I was thinking about a bill each myself. And yeh plenty nice places down here with real chefs and **** so shouldn't be a problem. Disclaimer in the title for that very reason. Certain traditions need to be respected. please log in to view this image
Doing the same as Sucky and booked up to eat out for christmas dinner. £65 per head and 5 course dinner. I've eaten there plenty of times so I know the grub will be top notch. Will be a relief not to have to bother with all of the prep, cooking and tidying up. I can just get drunk and then spend time with the little un when she opens her presents.
I booked up at the beginning of October as I knew we'd miss out otherwise. It's only 10 mins down the road too, so no fannying around having to drive either
May get involved in this years comp. Can’t remember if I did last year. Think I may have informed you all of what happened but was too embarrassed to post a photo of it. As completely destroyed a goose by not realising I had cooked at the temperature for non fan assisted oven. The thing was black. The wife and I are on our own this year. So will probably go to the pub smash a few pints then come home a cook pissed. Thinking goose again. Not incinerated this time.
I put the ham in then fill a frozen full size stein full of beer and watch the match. That's my tradition.
This year I'll be driving up to some agreed place on the M5 to pick my Mum up, and then bring her back down here. Then on the 29th will be driving her halfway back, dropping her off at a station that has a direct train confirmed to Manchester, then driving back down to here. I hope to **** that doesn't become a tradition.
