I think what he has got in his favour is the fact he has worked under quality coaches in his playing career. Hopefully learned something...oh hang on. They last ex rangers we had was Mark hateley lol
Well, if he can do for us what Thomas Frank did for Brentford, or what Farke did for Norwich I'll be happy
Brentford or Norwich weren't next to bottom, halfway through the season, therefore worth having a a punt on a younger inexperienced manager. I'm not totally against the idea, but do feel it is definitely very high risk. I wonder if their plan does factor in the possibility of relegation?
I think it's just the degree of risk and despondency that we're disagreeing over. I always think City are going to win every time they turn out so I'll start out thinking optimistically then see what happens. UTT!
Can’t see anyone with an ounce of sense keeping him on as an advisor, however, if he knows the difference between bitter and larger…
He got them up, they went down, he got them back up again. They did it the right way and as a result banked millions. They didn’t go up with some kind of idea that they’ll be pushing for Europe or taking the league by storm. That’s the way to do it for me, especially with a a club of our size; spend a few years yo-yoing between the two divisions and bringing in a bit of bank. Invest that money in the club and watch it grow.
The real risk is doing nothing, there’s no guarantees if we hired Allerdyce, Warnock, Pulis, Hughes, or even Klopp. We need the change, it’s going to happen, hopefully we’ll get enough new manager bounce to sort out our season!
I think allerdyce and definitely Klopp would keep us up. Love Colin but his time has passed. Won’t touch the others
As Arthur Wellesley, later Duke of Wellington said of his experience in Flanders, serving under the Duke of York "At least I learned what not to do, and that is always a valuable lesson"
I can't make the millwall game on 27th november. I just know that will be the new owners first game. Sods law innit
