    Had my booster yesterday.
My original vaccine was AZ, but Pfizer and Moderna are considered the better vaccines for boosters.
I had Moderna and it has been an absolute bitch.
Very sore arm, with stiffness extending into the shoulder.
Fatigue. I took a train to Winchester this morning and was fine, until I got off. Could hardly put one foot in front of the other. Had to get to my destination though as it was a coroner’s inquest for my wife.
That’s complete but the journey home, and that first part of Hill Lane was a very slow walk from the central.
Spent the afternoon with a headache, dozing on and off and fluctuating temperature.
Hopefully I will back to normal later today/tomorrow.
    Glad I had it though.

Hope you feel better soon! I have mine booked a week tomorrow, they seem to be using the Pfizer one for boosters round here, which I hope won’t be as bad as what you have experienced. Certainly my wife didn’t have any discomfort at all a couple of weeks ago.

My booster is Friday, I presume it will be Pfizer(first two jabs were) no problems at all just a dead arm for a day.

I was staggered by a BBC report which looked at the lack of vaccine uptake in Austria and the almost vertical rise in infections when expressed graphically, Austria seems to be the most infectious part of the developed half of Europe although the graph also showed the steep climb in infections in places like Denmark and Germany. Everytime I see statistics like this my next thought is that the chances of an new strain evolving are enhanced. I say some other predictions yesterday which sought to predict when the pandemic will end with the dates being cited at the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023 before we reach normalcy and others suggesting the possibility of this stretching in to 2026, albeit this was stated as being highlly unlikely.

The thing that also crossed my mind was whether we are going to require six monthly boosters throughout this period and the argumemt that has never been answered in that will there be a vaccine that will work more permanently and also prevent people who have had the vaccine continuing to be carriers? I would like to know there asnwers as I cannot see any conclusion without them being answered.

There are more questions than answers. There are no definitive conclusions plenty of opinions of course. You can read about ongoing vaccine research online, this from the Lancet re boosters https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)02249-2/fulltext

I`ve been on the Novavax trial and was `unmasked` on Thursday - and found out I received the vaccine last October/November, and the placebo in April/May. It should be generally available by Xmas !

Had my (Pfizer) booster yesterday in my left shoulder, and the flu vaccine in the right shoulder. No after-effects whatsoever I’m pleased to report.

I honestly think I was in more danger from queuing for 20 minutes on a narrow pavement next to a busy road than from the vaccine.

I had mild discomfort from my Pfizer booster....a two on a 0-10 scale. Feeling mildly unwell two days later...may be related, may not...common problem with trying to assess side effects. Pleased to have had it...means I can go to a rave and a sex orgy...or not.

I suggest you have the sex orgy first. Raves usually go on a bit late.

Last time I went to an orgy I pulled a muscle in my back and was in great agony for a month. They really are not worth the effort.

Orgy? or Gym? The effect is much the same - you're surrounded by prettier, younger, people, and after a few minutes you end up so breathless that you need a sit down ;)

I'm not worried about the booster, I'm more worried about Fran and her rave and sex orgy as we haven't heard from her since.

Would you rather post on here or play your part in a sex orgy. No competition as far as I am concerned. Let Fran enjoy herself. Don't forget she'll need a little while to recover and will probably feel a little sore.
