Watched Jake Gyllenhaal in The Guilty this morning. It’s a thriller and was made during lockdown, so is basically all set in one room. I’m not a massive fan of Gyllenhaal and this one did nothing to change my mind, it was an interesting idea, but overacted and not nearly as good as it could have been.
Next up is the true-crime docuseries, House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths. The story of eleven family members all found dead in a house in Delhi and nobody knows if it was suicide or murder.
I have been watching Valley of Tears about the Yon Kippur War, not bad in places, not to good in others. Some of the sub plots are a little bit too far fetched.
ID2 Shadwell Army on Netlix from this tuesday coming Poor film but as it's full of extras from Hull when it was filmed they;ll be a few mates in it that we all regonise so maybe worth a look for the comefy value.
I assume it's a direct rip off from the Danish/Swedish one Quite enjoyed that one to be fair, but probably ruined if it's the same plot twist (which I assume) https://m.imdb.com/title/tt6742252/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Seen all 3 series . Not sure they need to do a 4th . Same with Ozark that has about run maybe as far as you can go .
Just finished watching Narcos-Mexico Series 3 - all episodes - and it is just as enthralling a watch as the Narcos - Colombia series and the previous two seasons of Narcos - Mexico. The magnitude of official corruption in both countries was (maybe is in Mexico's case) absolutely mind-blowing, all the way up to the office of the President and the heads of the Armed Forces. Unfortunately Biden's "open-borders" policy (for political reasons) is just playing into the hands of the Cartels, making them even more financially and politically powerful, to the extent they are flooding the US with drugs, notably Fentanyl, and establishing a physical presence in Southern California in San Diego County, not far from where I now live in Ventura County.
Yes - Narcos Mexico is the follow up to the Narcos Colombia series which ended with the death of Pablo Escobar and the effective transfer of Cartel power from the Cali cartel to Mexicos cartels. Series 3 of Narcos Mexico which I have just finished watching is the latest in the new series which has about 10 episodes.
