Watch yourself Roger, you may be a Para who served his country but Old Dirty has admitted he's been savaged by the chuckle brothers and he's come out alive, he thinks he's Rocky Balboa now coming on here picking fights.

Saying that, I think you've scared him off now:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Total guess in regards to Sweden and Norway but I’d say healthier nations, less obesity and people who look after themselves better. Throw in Covid hits the BAME harder and I’d imagine the UK has more BAME living here.

When you have a virus that hits certain age groups and nationalities differently it’s always tricky comparing figures. The UK probably has more of a pub and night club culture too, larger sports gatherings.

We’re also more divided in our approach to it as a nation, those against the vaccine and lockdowns and those in favour. We didn’t really have a total lockdown, supermarkets open, anyone who could remotely say that they’re part of the supply chain and of course haulage travelling in and out the country

I just checked in to see if 2020 had replied to my post correcting his correction. Unfortunately I can't see it.

Lockdowns don't protect the people who need protecting. The death rate for anyone under 60 is about 0.2%. That includes anyone with co morbidities and those who are obese (over 70% of hospital admissions for Covid in the USA are obese). The vast majority of infections happen in the home and especially in hospitals.
The Barrington Declaration laid out a roadmap that would have saved thousands of lives but it was dismissed out of hand.
The most vulnerable are over 70 and the overwhelming majority of them are retired so protect them at a fraction of the cost of locking down most of the country. I say most because many of us have worked the whole time.

I have no idea why locking everyone down is a better option than targeting those most at risk.

The analogy I thought of was there is an old people's home on one side of a busy road. Younger people can cross reasonably easily but older people struggle.
    What do you do?
Put in a crossing or just close the road?
We effectively just closed the road.

We need a Right wing government to sort all the **** out, crime, illegal immigrants, wokism etc.

Unfortunately what we’re stuck with is either the Conservatives who are too weak on all of the above, or Labour, who would be even worse.

I can only see things getting worse. So basically this country is ****ed.

What OLOF means is, the people who give a **** about anyone else. OLOF seems to think that just because he hasn't had covid, that's fine for the rest of the country/world.

So do you think Rittenhouse will be convicted? The judge has slammed the Prosecutor a couple of times already and supposedly Rittenhouse did well in the witness box.

My opinion is that he has a good case for self defence.

Do you dispute the figures or do you disagree with my opinion that lockdowns don't protect the most vulnerable?

Easy to come up with the same old chestnuts which have been rolled out for 2 years. Sweden is a much more dense population in its large Cities, unlike it neighbours (Fact) a more realistic comparison is Belgium as same population but you wont like that because it shows Belgium as one of the biggest deaths per million population and that wont fit your narrative. Plus no school kids lost any school time, economy boomed as everyone else locked down and no backlog of hospitals cases, nobody didn't get cancer treatment, or heart and stroke treatment, no excess deaths and by thee time everything plays out there will be more deaths caused by lockdown than the actual pandemic in this country
