Any striker that scores goals at a 1+ every 2 game rate over a 500 plus game league and international career with such top teams as Ajax, Glasgow Rangers etc, AND looks like Mr.Bean, can't be all bad. While his Managerial career to date has been undistinguished it may be too early to judge him. If he is Acun's final choice his management style will clearly be a dramatic shift from what we've had over the past three seasons. Should be an interesting next few months.

Assem Allam ending up owning a football club despite having no interest in the game of football & no prior interest in his hometown football club. It was purely a business decision to purchase the club in 2010.If City had gone into administration he would not have got back the money he invested in the club under Russell Bartlett's ownership. He also saw a potential way to get his hands on the stadium & the surrounding land to develop it. His biggest mistake from day one was he never had any empathy for the club's supporters, as he was not a football supporter himself. What he knew about the mentality of football fans could have been written on the back of a postage stamp & he tried to run City the same way he ran Allam Marine. He never understood lifelong football fans who love their club are not the same as a person looking to buy a marine generator. We can only hope the new owners are "football people" ie they love the game of football & are lifelong supporters of their hometown clubs in Turkey & therefore know how to respect & empathise with the supporters of Hull City AFC, which has not happened for 11 long years.
