I think supporters like me who have supported the club and attended 90% of games over the last 6 years home and away will be the last to know sadly.

I was never bothered about knowing first or last.

My friends go to great lengths to watch films as soon as they come out. I'm happy to wait for it to come out on DVD.

Sorry mate .. but don't believe that for a second, they've let it go to someone who is prepared to pay in the region of what they want for it .. dont confuse business with morals. If the other agreed deal had been passed at the fit and proper stage it would have gone to them, surprisingly some of the consortium were dodgy hence why it failed, but it didn't stop the Allams shaking hands on the deal.

Most people seem to forget if it was not for the Allam's love or hate them this club would not be where it is today or at the point it is now approaching.

I am not a huge movie goer so I can’t relate to your friends though I do enjoy going to Esher in London great cinema no chavs ruining the film.

I just download them off the net i can't wait nor do i wish to piss off to the cinema.

Some things have to be seen at the cinema. I don't have a TV or dvd player but have a projector on the ceiling and a 4k android box.

Haven't owned cd's or dvds for nearly a decade now.

I'm thinking about a turntable and becoming a vinyl ****er tho.

... And the Dai's were so dodgy they bought Reading instead for less money with a consortium member less and put too much money in.
Reading were a Championship club and we were a PL club at the time of the Dia's potential buy out. Different rules apply as to the 'fit and proper persons' for a PL club.

Yeah, that's my point. Such a bullet dodged that they went and splurged too much cash trying to get Reading promoted.

'Sir' Adam sold us to a chancer with a paper fortune who had to borrow to fund the deal, and a snake oil salesman with a 'liberal' comprehension of the meaning of the words 'expense account'.

Nail on the head. The initial plan was a £100m investment made up from an input from the football club and the council which then would trigger the grants, some sports some Government which were available for areas like HU3. Manchester and Leeds councils managed to carry this off by working alongside their football clubs. In Hull, like some on here, the offer was laughed at.
Reasons given later, after intervention from Alan Johnson MP, were 'we already have a swimming pool down Albert Avenue' This was shut down at the time and only recently has had millions of pounds of public money spent on it.
Any new hotel or retail outlets would detract from the city centre.
To safeguard Hull Fair and Hull FC's future.
So nothing happened.

Geraghty offered the Allams a joint venture to develop the stadium and the land surrounding it. Assem Allam turned it down. The evidence is in the minutes of the meeting between the fan groups and Assem Allam shortly after he bought the club.

Let's just hope that the dialogue between HCC and the new owners is more constructive on both sides.
