I am not going to get carried away by the new owner when he arrives. I am more than happy with the fact we are getting someone new in. I am not expecting to get to the playoffs this year and I will be happy with survival and building the team to be better next season. What I am looking forward to is getting someone who is passionate about the club and the supporters, someone who really wants to be here and loves football. That was never the Allams. A whole heap of them was about ego and when that was damaged it only went one way. It will be great to see respect between the new owners and the fans and I hope that continues. I don’t buy into the theory that everyone from Hull has a poor mentality and likes to see failure. I am looking forward to a new era and I hope it all goes well for our new owner.

"That's the first time I've heard those figures mentioned" You mean to say they didn't call you up first??? How bloody rude!!
My wife's uncle is senior member of HCC and around Christmas we have family get-togethers and he told me 3/4 years ago.
No idea who exactly did the laughing - it was portrayed as there were multiple members chortling.

I would have thought someone on here would have heard those figures mentioned before, that is what I meant, seeing as some claim to know that nothing was supposedly offered. But you take the piss pal along with 'the multiple members'
You must of all had a good chortle about some one having the cheek to want to invest in HU3 ?.

The Council maintain that no firm offer was ever made for the stadium, nor were any serious plans ever put forward.

It's irrelevant now, but I'd put my house on there never being a sport village on that site, even if they'd got it for a quid.

If Hull City ever went bust, I’d probably support any team that was formed afterwards, but it’d be bitter sweet. Also make my love of football end, it’s already hanging by a thread as it is.

In football terms we an have an academy capable of producing first team talent and we have no long legacy contracts in the first team squad. It's a platform to build from that's pretty well-laid.

I don't feel that the Allams are the devil's some make them out to be, but they have made a couple of significant errors from which it was always going to be difficult to win back the fans over, and the PR has generally been worse than dire.

That said, its history now. I appreciate them stepping in when they did and their early successes. I'm also glad the long slow torture of managed decline is coming to an end.

Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky has completed his deal to buy a 27% stake in West Ham United. The deal is worth c £150 mil, with the club valued at £600 mil. He also has the option of a full takeover in the future.

If they want future income from.past sales that might well be written into the deal, but whetever the deal may be, it is done. Only the EFL can stop it now.

Perhaps this is why he sent a message with the comment Countdown?

Or it might mean that Rachel Riley or Carol Voderman are on the board with him.

Personally, I couldn't believe the incredulity of Papa Allam walking into HCC HQ and laying down that paltry amount! Even if he'd have said "Ho Ho just joshing!! Worth a bash tho want it??! Here's my real offer..." that would have been different.

But instead, he punished the fans, ****ed around with the clubs name and had a blob-strop by removing as much as possible of the Hull City Councils name from the clubs name.

Also, I've mentioned (under a previous name (due to a self inflicted admin error)) many, many times the £350k story

PPS If you see a "surprised they didn't call you first" type comment as taking the piss, then maybe you should reconsider writing on a forum like this if you're that sensitive?

Chill your beans me auld sausage and don't get your knickers in a twist x

Nothing to spill. If anything the 'new owner' has jumped the gun a bit.

The ITK ers have been accused of proclaiming its already done whilst some were still steadfastly refusing to accept we were even on the market.

Of course no one will be able to confirm it is done until the green light is rec'd from the FA. But it has already been confirmed the financial aspects of the deal are all done.

I am surprised that £350k was offered. I wanted the whole thing for free.
