It’s great when a clueless idiot buys another club…gives everyone else the chance to get rid of their dross for inflated prices still hoping to flog Dele Alli to the Toon tip for about 8 times what we paid for him…can see it happening.
It's a means to an end although it's reported several times that it's going to be a measured approach not just throwing money at it.
you will be throwing money at it through silly wages though init because them Barca boys aren’t coming for the glory
You'd be better off scouting for younger, hungrier, players IMHO, Munse ... those 3 got Michael Owen revisited written all over it ...
They'll do both most likely... Players with contracts running out after a last pay cheque I think they'll avoid but they might do one or 2 just to change the image of the club.. Once you get one or two bigger names it can only help get younger players. All these stories about 150 million players etc are bullshit.
All 3 are exactly the kind of players they should be avoiding like the plague. Huge wages, terrible injury records, coming from big clubs with little or no hunger and just looking for another pay day.
West Ham get a billionaire in with a 1/4 share. Does this push Newcastle further down pecking order…..
So Eddie Howe in the press conference only wants to talk about the football... Then there is the awkward issue of Saudi Arabia’s appalling human rights record. How did Howe reconcile his reportedly high principles to taking the Saudi riyal? Had morals been compromised? A less eloquent speaker might have stuttered and stumbled but Newcastle’s impressively articulate manager barely broke verbal stride. “For me it was a football decision,” he said. “I’m absolutely delighted to be here. My focus is football – that’s all I’m going to concern myself with. I’ll give everything to the job, every single day. But success is going to take a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice and a lot of suffering from everyone here.” https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ainment-but-says-newcastle-is-not-an-easy-job As Gary Glitter once sang... 'I can take you over the hill Ooh what a thrill I can make you sell me your soul' Poor cop out I'm afraid, to justify his position.
He is manager of a football club, what did you want him to say. Jesus he's not a politician or in charge of the Premier League.
I never expected him to say anything, afterall this is Newcastle we are chatting about. We all know you've fallen down the gutter with this deal. I'll wait until it all goes wonga on you, then when you fall off your perch, we will have all the so called real fans, suggesting they never agreed to their ownership. Either that or Staveley will be able to recommend a good plastic surgeon.
