May be kept on as a "consultant" apparently, what the **** you would consult him on is a mystery.

Does nobody else think that Ole taking his family back to Norway for a week unexpectedly could point to him consulting extended family and close friends about his position?
maybe even sounding out Molde to see if they had a position open?

Have we monitored what he does during international breaks and in the close season? If he flies off to Norway every time it means nothing. But because he's under pressure, someone snaps him at the airport and makes out it's something different.

On Woodward, it's actually hilarious. What I read a week or so ago is that they're extending his departure date to April because of the problems at the club right now <laugh>

Just two problems with that, firstly he's incompetent and secondly he's caused most of them! It's like asking the bloke who sets fire to your house if he wouldn't mind hanging around to see if it all burns down <doh>

Oh and btw the April date is not fixed in stone either meaning he hangs around until the situation improves. Which is a paradox with him being there.

Three different papers yesterday said that the players and staff were given a surprise weeks holiday when Ole took his family to Norway, doesn't sound like a usual thing to me.

I saw that but it seemed to me that one reported it and the others just copied and pasted. It often happens with high profile football stories.

So in the end it comes down to what one paper reports and how accurate or truthful it is.

It could be true or it could be bollox.

Anyway haven't we passed the Diego Deadline if it was going to happen?

Hard to sack a man when he isn't there <whistle>

    <laugh>

wasn't a deadline, just an observation that the board would not meet on Sunday so any decision was likely to be made on Monday then passed on to Ole and announced Tuesday. Just a logical timeline in my mind.,

Well sacking a manager is not like chasing Prince Andrew to serve the papers on him is it? <laugh> We’ve heard it done by phone, by text and by radio programme <whistle>

It’s been done to Bruce and we didn’t like it. Now Utd should do it quickly, why prolong the agony?

Not when there's so few of us, no <wah>

Seriously though, we can absolutely scream blue murder at each other and disagree about somethings, everything or nothing, it just shows we all give a ****. And that's a good thing surely. The last thing I want is for GF or anyone to leave. If someone's able to, call him back.

This is turning into social media. All for GF! lol

I second that. The debates are healthy and I don’t ever get the sense that we are here to disrespect one another however contrasting the views are on the way to move the team forward.

Pretty sure GF will be back, he's a Red at the end of the day and cares.
Sometimes the written word doesn't convey our full feelings or thoughts correctly but at least we all feel free to post them and carry on without any animosity to each other.
Not many of us but a very decent group (imo :bandit:)

Oi, i'm only 63 but close enough <laugh>
I concluded quite q while back that ole just wasn't going to make it but am very happy ith the squad he's built. No one will ever convince me that the players shouldn't shoulder at least 50% of the ****e we have seen recently though, call it downed tools or lack of belief in the system such as it is but either way they just haven't been performing or putting the effort in to acceptable levels which is unforgivable when you consider the wages they are paid, the club they have been invited to, the supporters they are letting down and last but far from least personal pride.

Absolutely. I am against this black and white attitude to all this. Of course we all had doubts about Ole . But the attitude taken by some pundits who declare themselves expert said that “if it were another manager Utd will win the title with this squad“. Note not challenge but win it. And that is picked up by some of our fans. This stuff has been clearly said to demean the manager and unsettle the squad if we dropped points. Now that the manager is expected to be on his way out, the pundits now turn to the players. Wan Bissaka was never good enough, nor Fred. Maguire has been wretched since his injury. Fernandes and pogba have downed tools. All have an element of truth. But hang on. Wasn’t this a squad of stars that was definitely going to win the title under a different manager? How can we be sure they would have been transformed and performed 100% under X or Y? Players paid hundreds of thousands a week have been completely unprofessional.

It is this element of certainty where there can be none that riled me. On Ole, my doubts this season started with Leicester. The RS match was simply unacceptable and the City match just confirmed it. Surely the board must accept that he is now a dud and cannot continue. Shame as he’s a decent guy and a Utd hero.
