It helps mate, that's why you lost yesterday, you conceded 3 goals <laugh>

I haven't rated Maguire since the day we bought him and probably never will.

Mate why you so obsessed about a RB crossing a ball? You've become such a fanboy it's unreal <laugh>

Going forward I'm more than happy for him to link up well with the midfield and work on the overlap with a winger. It's that link up play and passing that's more important than crossing for a RB going forward.

Unfortunately Varane looks like he's made of chrystal. I have noticed this over many years, teams like Madrid tend not to let their better players go just as they enter their peak years unless there is a problem.

AWB has football brains to match Shaw’s. Shaw is like a tree when he doesn’t have the ball, while AWB is almost completely useless past the half line. Even when he is not under pressure, he still fails the make a pass when in an advance position. Both of those players are fundamentally part of the problem at United. I have no idea why they pick themselves game in, game out. It’s one of Ole’s major failing to continue to pick underperforming players out of some sick favouritism.

Maguire has to be the luckiest player in the league though. He’s now up for another wage increase and continues to keep the captain’s armband in spite of the fact that he doesn’t inspire anyone. That’s already three of our back four gone to waste. No defensive midfielder could ever protect those three in their current form.

    Scholes again...

Scholes believes the constant chopping and changing is undermining any chance of United making progress and has rendered the job of the recruitment team at United ‘almost impossible’.

He told Premier League Productions: ‘The conviction has to come from the coach of the way you’re going to play football.'

‘Ole has been here three years now and we’ve come here today not really knowing what he’s going to do. That makes the recruitment almost impossible because you’re not buying players for a system.'

'Look at Pep, he’ll buy players for a system. He brought Grealish this year for his system, he brought Mahrez in for his system. Jurgen Klopp brings Diogo Jota in as another forward for his system.'

'We are bringing players in and trying to shoehorn them into positions. Three years down the line you can see the evidence on the pitch, today and two weeks ago we are a long way off. I do think we’ve got a group of good players but Ole has to convince everyone that he is the right man to find the right formation for this team.'

‘Stop messing about changing it for everyone else. He’s got to now have a conviction, whatever it is I don’t care just have that conviction. I said before the 3-5-2 doesn’t suit the players in the team.'

The point is clear that the only reason why Ole switched to 3-5-2 was to show face after they heavy defeat. The very fact that he still persisted with the very same set of players in the key wingback positions in a completely new system which they were not used to further demonstrates his ineptitude as a manager who pays attention to the finer details.

Ole and the coaching staff won’t get better from here. To remain hopeful is even more stupid. Yes, we may get a run of good games and feel good wins, but those will always be short lived. I really hope that we make a change before the next game at Watford.

I think it's time to look beyond blaming Ole. IF the vast majority are at a point where it's time for Ole to move on, then Ole's not to blame for still being in his job. Yeh he can resign but he's not going to. So it's now the job of the Board to show their leadership and earn their money. It's like they don't want to make difficult decisions or do the hard work.

I read today that their "plan" now is told hold regular meetings about Ole following future matches <doh> Unbelievable levels of weakness and incompetence.

If they dither during this international break, bottle the difficult decision and then after a couple of weeks are forced to sack him anyway, how much worse would they look then. They themselves would need sacking. Nothing will happen to them though because they are completely untouchable.

That’s a massive blow if that’s true. He’s overseen the huge chaos post Fergie. And many of the disastrous decisions can be laid to his door. Any thoughts of him still having a say in Utd’s future should fill any Utd fan with dread.
