Because it's all well and good saying they're protecting the fans, but on the other hand destroying their competition. It's a hypocritical IMO.

It's like how people at Sky and BT were so against the Super League but stay quiet when it comes to actual corruption involving FIFA and UEFA (because they were afraid of losing their millions / billions in tv rights).

As I say, charging less for tickets is a great thing. But let's not pretend they're a holier than thou club.

Don’t think anyone is saying they are though? It’s just pointing out that ticket prices across all of Germany are actually taking fans into account and not just fleecing them

Mate they don't have all 500 players in the league. Yeh they cream off the best players but that has nothing to do with keeping their ticket prices low. Two completely different things.

And by keeping their prices low it sets the standard for all the other teams in the BL to keep their prices low. Although I think all the German teams have the same mentality. Hence why he used the comparison of "us" and England.

Btw nobody is saying they're holier than though, but the clubs in Germany clearly do care about the traditional fanbase more than in this country.

    sorry but they are.

they have more registered fans than any other club globally.

theres zero point dissing bayern they have exploited thier position to dominate and with that fan base they should be dominating.

Players in germany are more likely to play the contract game as well so everything lines up for them to dominate.

    totally agree as well :)

they are the best supported club in germany 100% and thats just the way it is. fans get a far better deal in germany no matter where you go in the league.

Its a thin line holding it though

Let's not forget that Germany has the 50+1 rule where all (well almost all) clubs are fan majority owned. That's also why ticket prices are lower.

Look at Dortmund, have the highest average attendances in Europe and a ticket is between 15 and 55 euros per game, which also included public transport to the ground!

and that's the thin line that hold the red bulls back.

Dortmund tickets are for virtually nothing to get in there for the average fan. Is how it ought to be. The fans in the ground make the game, they can sel all the over prices whatever they like to them when in but to compare a kop ticket to a yellow wall ticket its is a sick difference.

the worst seat on the kop is £37 not that you'd get is the over 65s (not that they could get hold of them) is 28 and the one or two kids tickets the club shouts about are 9 quid but again best of luck there.
with respect the klopp is very narrow and would not meet todays building standards so its not precisely the nicest experience going that price is right out on the corners. If you were lucky enough to get right behidn the goal its £42

Its €15 on the yellow wall for the full thing, the entire area as far as i am aware on the south side of the stadium.

In the VIP sections like our main stand next to klopp the price is 59 quid. they tired on the 77 quid there.

(btw the worst seats in the upper main right out on the corners is 9 quid so it shows who much they give a **** about locals.)

In dortmund their VIP seats are 55 quid.

When theres room for 80k in the stadium they can afford to let the yellow wall in cheaper I suppose but the cost difference at anfield is not really justifiable even if you spend 120mil on that main stand.

What ought to happen now is locals are given cheaper kop tickets and ensure they are not flogged off by scalpers.

A Liverpool supporter has been cleared of spitting at members of Manchester City’s backroom staff during last month’s Premier League fixture at Anfield.

The fan was found to have shouted and gestured aggressively towards the away side’s bench in the aftermath of Mohamed Salah’s 76th-minute goal in the 2-2 draw, but there was no evidence to support City’s allegation that they had been spat upon.

Indeed, interviews and subsequent statements received from City staff did not state that they were spat at by a supporter. Nor did City, the complainant in the case, report the matter to the police for any criminal proceedings.

The supporter’s seat has now been moved away from the dugout area following a comprehensive investigation by Liverpool, which included studying video footage.

“We have now completed a full and thorough investigation following a complaint of an alleged incident near the dugout area at our fixture against Manchester City at Anfield last month,” said a Liverpool spokesperson.

“The evidence gathered was substantial and included statements from Manchester City’s backroom staff, supporters, stewards, unredacted video footage and CCTV recordings.

“We have followed the club’s official sanctions processes and appropriate actions have been taken based on the evidence gathered and information received from the complainant.

“We would like to thank all parties who have supported this investigation and now consider this matter closed.”

The findings of the investigation have been shared with the FA.

Won't get as much fanfare as the original complaint though.

    Stevie appointed as Villa manager.

Could the Anfield icon play a role in stopping us winning the title?

He is well known to Villa chief executive Christian Purslow, who was previously managing director at Liverpool.

    It all becomes clear.

I would have ran a ****ing mile if this was the guy coming to offer me the post personally

He's the guy who decided joe cole had to be bought at LFC so his sticky fingers will be interfering all over the place.

But wasn't he also the guy who did the dirty on Hicks and Gillett, and switched sides in 3-2 vote?

we are not even in the tile race any longer mate. Its just inevitable from here that chelsea start to go away from us. Get with the program to avoid disappointment later.

4th is acceptbale this season now, 3rd is doing well. winning a cup/CL would be nice.
