Im no billionaire …a million miles from it. But yes I’d class myself as a an “entrepreneur” I’m very proud of the 100s of jobs I’ve created over the last 20 years over several businesses.
I’d like to think I’d done some social good to each & every one of my employees.

but that doesn’t fit your agenda x

The refusal to accept that he is among the unearned elite himself globally, by the accident of living in the UK is what tickles me about the envy.

I don't see too many offering to give up a big percentage of their income to help others less fortunate. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It's easier to just jump up and down on their union card proclaiming anyone who's done something Is a bad bad bad man

The argument seems to be, if you have no confidence in your ability to climb up, do what you can to pull the others down, and claim it's in the name of equality.

What sets people like him apart is that they were able to form secure attachments within the first year of life, helping them to stay connected to their true self throughout their childhoods and beyond, making them less vulnerable to the impacts of abuse and trauma, as well as have access to a sufficient amount of money, along with the security for it to be OK if things go wrong, then they can go and make a success of themselves.

Not everyone is an egotistical prick who comes onto football forums to humble-brag about what they know, who they know or what they've done :emoticon-0148-yes:

Most of us already do through PAYE or other tax.
I’m don’t think Musk or any billionaire should be shot (…none of them are Blunts are they?…just wondering)
I do think if tax laws were changed to make sure that all billionaires or huge global companies paid a similar amount % wise to what most of us do (or even what smaller UK businesses do) there’d be a bit more to go round for everyone though

Some tax laws need to be changed so people like musk/bezo and companies etc pay more but tax on unrealised income is definitely not one of the things that should be even considered.

And the wealthy aren't breaking the law, in just the same way as most of us aren't. If they made less profit, pension funds would drop and mortgage rates rise.

I can't remember his name, but there was a very wealthy guy making the point that he paid less tax than just about all his workers, and that was a bad thing. He felt that it was actually self defeating, and went into detail for his argument as to why, but it basically related to people getting pissed off.

Hating the individuals for it seems bizarre to me though, especially as many on here will be in a position where they could retire and live of their pension, but stay at work to keep topping it up even further. Those that aren't at that stage yet, are quite liable to do exactly the same when they get there.

I'm happy with my lot, and if I wasn't, I'd change it rather than trying to pull others down.

I don’t hate the individuals (unless any of them are Sheff Utd fans but that’s different) I just hate the fact there isn’t a global tax system that works to reduce extreme money hoarding

To be honest I know **** all about that but unless the govt also pays you if the value of your shares goes down it doesn’t make much sense to me

But that money would still exist, you'd just be trusting a committee to spend it rather than the individuals that have donated big sums to various causes.
