Wouldn't dare risk any main players to be honest. Injuries are stacking up already.

Not a blind clue how this will go.
Hoping for a big reaction from Manager and Players.
But I thought that last Saturday and look what happened.
Another lack luster display or a defeat and the pressure on Manager and Players at the Ipswich game will be immense
And I have to say LJ is bringing it all on himself.
Instead of actually addressing the problems on the pitch in Defense and Midfield and realizing we need to tweak things because teams have sussed us out
He just keeps making noises and then puts out the same teams same formation
Regardless of his fancy words. Keep doing the same thing we will keep getting the same results

    Not sure
    Sad but true
It was the same end of last season.
Over run in midfield and the defense letting in soft goals.
But he just kept putting out the same teams and same formation.
When it works its great but when it doesn't he hasn't got a clue what to do.
We need a solid base. But defense seems to be an after thought.

That should be the case. You'd hope that he'd use this opportunity to try out something to sort out our leaky defence. But thinking about it, I don't think he'll go too far from the norm. If he goes too experimental and we lose, the kneejerkers will be on his case even more. He needs win to relieve the pressure a little bit.

Bit disappointing I can’t go to this. Working overtime (for >£30 an hour,) can’t really be turned down when it’s Christmas around the corner!!

Try Xhemajli and Alves together as CB's. The rest play the bairns and tell them they have a bloody good chance of being involved in the next home game if they perform well enough.
Burge can totally f*ck off for me unless he comes out and explains wtf he was trying to do when he passed the ball to the Mansfield lad. Still think SAFC wanted out of the FA Cup. I came away from their on Saturday at my lowest ebb ever in all the time supporting them.
So for all the negativity above I am limiting my prediction to 5-0 to the lads. The tide has to turn and this is where it needs to happen.

Thats why this kneejerker said this yesterday

Great thread RTB , but I fear we will learn nothing from this game, worse still neither will LJ. Nonetheless we live in hope, rather than expectation. OaU.

When has he gone too experimental, he never deviates from the norm, he has no plan A never mind B, he just expects the wind to change. Its his only hope.

To be fair, you're not a kneejerker. You've always wanted him gone :emoticon-0105-wink:

Not always mate, I lost patience with him when he did to Younger what he did to Alves in the last game. before that I swallowed his cant .

Cracking thread as always RTB. More effort put into the thread than some of our players put into a game. We have already qualified for this so no point risking injury to players (although some of them play like they are injured every week). It’s a chance for a few youngsters to stake a claim for a place on the bench or a start for the 1st team. Home win for me. It’s hard at the minute but keep the faith lads and lasses things will change. (Hopefully). :emoticon-0148-yes:

Crazy that Younger hasn't had more opportunities imo. Wright was awful on Saturday but he seems to be the back up CB for some reason. I'd drop him from the squad and have Younger on the bench at least.

I see why LJ wants Wright there. It’s that “experience “ card. But if the experienced player isn’t good enough, then you have to turn to the better footballers. I do think the youngsters need an “older” head around them.

I agree totally with @clockstander about younger. When he was subbed at half time in a game he’d bossed, I couldn’t work it out. Assumed there was an injury reason or something. But he’s never had a sniff since

I know LJ calls Wright his 'warrior' but he has been poor in the games he has played imo. Younger hasn't let anyone down when he has had an opportunity. He's performed better than Alves as well tbh.
