I'm not ****ting you here, if I heard the opening notes of Wham! rap I'd be able to recite every word!

    And Bad Boys.

An ironic song given how gay George turned out to be.

Two great tracks. **** the haters bro, they were iconic 80's jams.

Deon Estus was the bass player for Wham, he came up under the wing of Marvin Gaye and played with Tina Turner, George Clinton and Frank Zappa.

So those rhythm sections are rooted in soul.

The one thing I've dragged around the country with me over the years is my record and CD collection so I've always got a case stacked with them in the car. Haven't really caught up with the whole digital age in my car, so the soundtrack is from 1970's soul and funk and ends around 2006 <laugh>

That Portishead album was seminal when it came out. The whole trip hop scene around Bristol, with Massive Attack and Tricky was ****in brilliant

Seems as though it's difficult to find a new car with a CD player as standard nowadays..
Notice Goldie was on your list, I did some work for him 25 years (or so) ago, nice fella.

I'd be forced to stream songs if I had a new car and then I'd never be able to make up my mind what to listen to.

I can measure my local journeys by how long songs take to play. For example my home to my old job used to be 8 miles or 1 Fela Kuti's : Zombie <laugh>

What sort of work were you doing for Goldie ? That Timeless album was massive. And Inner City Life was a beacon in that early drum and bass sound

    New floorings, carpets, laminates.

I mostly play music still on an ipod on shuffle,so much easier when I'm working, got 0000's of songs on it, always something good pops up. Sunday morning tends to be vinyl time though.

Courtney Barnett - Tell me how you really feel.

    It would explain it <laugh>

    She's a brilliant pianist though.

I follow the Canyon (bike manufacturer) pages on facebook. There's a woman who rides a Canyon road bike who is also fit as ****. Her pics get thousands of engagements and she's managed to launch her own channel off the back of it.

There are blokes on there who slate her though, saying she's only doing it to gain attention / she's not a proper rider etc. I'm like, she's hot and she rides bikes, wtf is wrong with you ? <laugh>

@Gessa wasn't sure after the Girl in Amber cover but I think it may end up being a good album.

I think I'd have to play it as an album, not sure if I like her voice tbh.
Flaming Lips playing Bearded Theory next year, Patti Smith and Placebo other 2 head liners, so looking forward to it.

Loved one of the comments in the video, this should be taught to younger generations, it really, really should. You don't need to be reading any books on it, you don't need to know how to read music or even learning scales, it will come naturally in what you are taught, just by putting a few notes together. Which is what I liked about the four videos I posted, it's teaching you how to stitch all those notes/scales altogether.
