to be fair, it’s not just ole. Your defence is a shambles. Shaw had a decent year last year but been blown way out of proportions. AWB is a mid table player and maguire the same. Varane absolute quality but until you get him fit I don’t think any of chelsea city or Liverpool would go in for any of your other defenders. Forward line under right manager is up there with the best tbf so if you got someone in that could have a plan of attack you’d out score teams and win games. Best thing you could do is bin off pogba (for a a much as possible in jan) abs try get a quality DM to play alongside mctomminy a d let bruno do what he does upfield with 2 of Sancho Greenwood Rashford supporting ronaldo.
Chelsea no 1 clearly. (ffs mate that's stupid thing to ask) City. Take your pick out of west sham, arsenal or brighton We just are not playing well enough to challenge seriously the games against top 10 sides have been a disaster. Home.draw to Chelsea due to chelsea red card. They were comfortable. Home draw to city. (Lead twice, threw it away) Home draw to brighton (threw 2 goal lead away) Lost 2-3 to west ham. Loads of goals flying in at the wrong end against the decent sides. The 6 wins are against bottom half cross Norwich Burnely Leeds Palace Watford Man utd Those are easy games everyone should be winning. The situation is very clear. Anyone in the top half is getting up to 2 goals a game off us.
This place is more depressing than our board lol Top 3 is obvious. 4th could well be between West Ham, Arsenal and United. Don't know about Lesta, something weird going on there.
Harsh on Palace, I think Viera is turning them into a very good footballing side I'm dreading us playing them. Although we beat West Ham just down the road
Not dross though. They did rather well against City and been a bit unlucky not to get 3 points instead of 1 in a couple.
well i missed most of the 2nd half and can't say i'm sorry by the look of it though obviously this result is my fault since it is the first game i've not properly watched all season . From the bits i saw can someone explain why we persist with playing an offside trap on practically the halfway line
It was the massive gap at right and left bank that was the problem, not the high line. And our inability to deal with the set pieces although I suspect a lot of teams will struggle with that this season.
David Moyes deserves some credit, he has been trying to beat Liverpool for 11 years or so, Well done David.
Credit to West Ham - thought they played well and targeted all of our weak spots. Whilst we had so many issues, we were ultimately done by two corners, they should have had a man sent off and Mane missed two big chances. It's all about fine margins but we're unfortunately we were on the wrong side of it last night. That's enough 'positivity' from me today ... Where do we begin with that shower of sh*t performance? Only VVD and Fabinho (for the first hour) come away with their heads up because the rest were simply atrocious. Yet again, our midfield let us down - time and time again this season, we fail to defend or control and it's stemming from the midfield. Henderson has been abysmal all season bar the occasional game, Ox wasn't bad last night but didn't really offer much. A lot of people said this at the beginning of the season but it was so negligent to not strengthen this summer. Fans can continue saying that we have numbers - that's not the point - more than 50% of those players are injury prone whilst the other population simply aren't good enough. The lack of investment in this squad since we won the CL is why this happening - it's why last season also happened. There is no ambition from our owners. I can't see how the midfield improves until Thiago and Naby start more matches week in week out. This is a systemic issue. In terms of the individual performances that caught my eye: - Allison had arguably his worst game for us. I do think he was fouled for the first goal but I think it was very soft. Would have been lucky if the goal was chalked off. - Robbo. This guy needs to be dropped. Not rested, not rotated, but dropped. His performances are awful right now and he has stunk out the place for almost an entire year now (from an attacking perspective). When Robbo plays, we lose that attacking threat on that flank so everything then has to go down the right and it becomes stale and predictable. When Kostas plays, we can attack down both flanks. I just hope this isn't another case of Klopp persisting with his favourites... - Ox and Hendo - I think both were ok on the ball and tried to make things happen. The issue is that 8's are offering ZERO protection to the back line right now. Fabinho is having to put out fires all over the place but he can't cover all of the ground.
