I meant in order of best teams which is why i said not predicting league position, this was in response to you saying you think Liverpool are the best team.

It’s interesting that although these 3 teams stand out they all have the propensity to drop points unexpectedly. Last week it was the RS and City . This it is Chelsea dropping 2 points in a match they completely dominated for 90 minutes.

I've watched them a few times before today and I think their lacking a striker will catch up with them at some point. Our defence is a bit of a joke atm and they got 2 gpals thanks to 2 fck ups by our defence.

Perhaps those few 100/98pt seasons we saw recently were an anomaly?

    For now at least.

Im surprised there isnt more grief for shaw in here, ehat he done for the 2nd was absolutely unforgivable imo. I put no blame on de gea for that at all.

I joked today ole was playing a back 5 without wingbacks.

Wan bukkake gave the ball away with sloppy passing so many times i lost count in the end. He really is a one trick tackling pony.

The manager mustve had them playing flat like that. And that makes no fukin sense whatsoever..

Madness hes still there it really is <laugh>

He was on fire in that 1st half. Kept you in it til shaw decided to stop playing football for the 2nd.

If Spurs (unlikely) and arsenal win you are 7th. If Leicester win by 5 you go 8th.
All 3 Very unlikely but 2 remotely possible.

I think that dropping out of the top 4 is like a relegation for united tbh.

You spent big in the summer, on some top, top players but seem to be a worse team instead of actually being a title contender.

    That is on the manager.
His man management of supremely talented players like Van De Beek and Sancho beggars belief for me.

I always thought you'd dump him after the City game so the new manager would have a decent run of games after the international break but tbh I thought United were going to have had an agreement in place with Conte. It's going to be hard getting a top class manager currently in another job so I am not sure what the United board are going to do tbh.

Why would Spurs be unlikely? I think you beat Everton.

I reckon there are some managers that would come whenever, if United come calling. I'd include Poch in that.

Some though are 50/50 like Ten Hag. But it's United so I'd hedge my bets he'd still come.

It's happening mate. This has nothing to do with me reading too many of Munse's posts.

I can sense the vibe. He's gone.

    Wayne Rooney next manager yeh

Next guy has to be a hard ****er, not the players mate.
This lot need a firm direction and in some cases some home truths about application.
I appreciate that some have lost faith but that shouldn't be an excuse for losing personal pride and giving up.

After the ESL debacle and the protest last season against the owners, I can understand the GGs being hesitant. They don’t want to increase their unpopularity by sacking a manager who is still loved by the fans. If they are certain that most of the fans want change and they won’t suffer from changing the manager they will be more likely to do it. They need the directors to advise them. Also because Fergie has been manager for such a long time, very few people if any at the club have any experience of hiring and firing a manager. Not the owners, not the directors.

The new manager has to be tough after Ole and have high expectations of the players. Working hard off the ball, playing as a team. Ferguson and most top managers didn’t tolerate slackers and errors. You make mistakes regularly or don’t perform your role, you don’t play. A bit like parents who expect their children to do v.well at school rather than constantly provide excuses for their failures.

This is a very important thing, saying you "did your best" or "tried" is admitting that you are not good enough.
We need someone in charge who will say "not good enough" and mean it/show it by making changes.

One of the essential qualifications for a new manager has to be previous titles and trophies. That was the problem with Moyes and now with Ole. Constant comparison with other managers who have won titles by the press, media and fans but also having experienced players questioning decisions and tactics.

Not saying the only qualification as the sorry episode with Mourinho showed but not having anything previously (like Pochetino?) could be a real problem.

I think we are massively unfit.
They majority of our team were knackered by ht on Thursday.
Think Conte needs at least 5 or 6 weeks to make us hard to beat, especially away from home.
Our stats this season are truly shocking.

We have only scored 9 goals in the league in 10 games.
1 was a penalty, one was a fluke and 1 was an own goal. Three were against toon ffs!

We average an attempt on goal evey 9 mins and just 4 attempts on target per game.

We have a goal difference of -7 ... only Newcastle and Norwich have worse.

We run the least of all 20 premier league teams and are in the bottom 5 for xg stats, goals scored, goals conceded, chances created, clean sheets kept and tackles won.

Dier is considered one of the first names on the team sheet and we ain't kept a clean sheet in 7 Premier league games.

we havent had a shot on target in 140 minutes of premier league football.

we haven't scored in over 240 mins of Premier league football.

Our first 11 all played on Thursday and we played the last 30 mins with 10 men.

Can not see us winning away to Everton in all honesty and rafa deserves the boot if we do...fakht!
