Game Over For Ole

Poch too.

 

There's too much clamour toward Poch that I'm not completely comfortable with. That's why Erik ten Hag is a little more appealing as it would mean that we are thinking outside of the box and not simply going with the press favourite.

This is the thing though. The thing we've never fully appreciated because Fergie was there for almost 3 decades, whilst Real Madrid who didn't have our good fortune spent that time taking whichever manager they ever wanted out there, and not one ever turned them down.

We've sold ourselves so short since Fergie left. We CAN have almost any manager out there. We've never fully appreciated the fact we can attract anyone whether they're in a job or not. It's like having the whole sweet shop to choose from and you pick the lemon drop every time!

 

But remember that apparently Erik ten Hag didn’t go to Bayern because they were in mid season in 2019. But then again, I wouldn’t imagine that the Bayern job is as attractive as managing in the premier league with United.

 

He would be a good candidate. Better potentially than the likes of Conte, Allegri , even Poch. But as you say, would he want to come to United at the time the club will want him to? Nothing is certain

I was being sarcastic tbh, but they equalised a little while ago.

It's not a great game, too many challenges flying in and the game isn't being allowed to flow.

But he's got them pressing really well. RBL are playing well but aren't being given any time on the ball by PSG.

Dunno why but i have never (i was going to say rated but that's not strictly true) believed in Poch, just something i can't put my finger on that makes me think he will always be a nearly man.

 

I don't think it's unfair to say that. I'm not completely convinced, but I like the way his teams play and particularly in the prem.

Here's an idea...

How about they get Ole to manage the women's team, and get a proper manager in to manage the men's.

That way those who are Ole fanboys can continue to support him as the manager, and the rest of us can get on with supporting the men's team.

You know what, I took my U12's this morning and watched aghast at how they stood and watched their opponents score a piss poor soft as **** goal unchallenged.



Then I came home watched Maguire, Shaw and de Gea do the same.
