I now think very carefully before buying tickets for games such as this , we appear to have have no interest in progressing in the FA cup so I refuse to pay out good money to watch a team just go through the motions like we have for the last two years which is really sad . I consider myself to have been a loyal supporter for almost sixty years travelled all over the country been to Wembley eight times and find it unacceptable to be subjected to performances like today which is why I did not attend the match - I knew what was coming! The club should be done under the trades description act for misrepresenting the fans who paid out to attend todays debacle . Whatever happened to the spirit of 1973 ???
Really fair post. Easy to blame things but fans like yourself stating this really hits home. Fair play mate, great comments even though the situation isn't the best.
The poor ickle mites. The nasty internet men said horrible things about not winning against ****e opposition repeatedly when they need to be winning games week in week out. it’s about time these fragile egos started to question the reasons why and aim to put right the wrongs rather than spitting the dummy out and repeating the mistakes cos they are so thin skinned and petulant to boot.
Damm right. If it was me - I would have them all in tomorrow. Break down the issues. Get it sorted mam to man. Get out on some team work resilience and look after each other. Back to the ground to sum it all up. Need to become a bloody team, management to players. Unfortunately, it's sailed. Doubt it can be recovered
The problem we seem to have is these players are unable to suck up any kind of criticism no matter if it was warranted or not. They need to toughen up sharpish. The fans know that we will not win every game but it’s the manner of the defeats that are the reason for the criticism. These players are happy to take the praise when we play well so they need to take the negative stuff on the chin, reflect and dig in all the harder in the next game to shut up the boo boys. It’s in their own hands and Johnson should be capable of making sure that it doesn’t affect future performances. That’s his job after all.
looks like a manager who has lost the plot and the squad, Part of the reason could be he wont play players who have stand out games for him , as he would rather play injured lads like Onine and always picks his favourites, could be a million miles off but players get the hump for lots of reasons, he could have brought Stewart our best goal scorer on at half time,to rectify part of the problem i dont think he was injured, but maybe its just surmising on my part, we will find out the truth soon enough as KLD wont take recent results lying down,
Tell yer mate, whatever the problem, can't be any worse than watching my dross today, wished i'd stayed in the pub. It was only a tenner to get in, but could at least of bought me a couple more beers.
Speakman is the biggest cog in the wheel and I believe he will be the man who will decide if LJ is capable of turning things round as quickly as we need , if he doesn’t LJ will be gone . A few other management changes taking place at the moment, four or five weeks ago we wouldn’t have contemplated a change but now ??? Who knows ???
Don’t know what to say really, I absolutely bloody love this football club and that’s why I sometimes go over the top on here, I get so angry and frustrated - it ruins my weekend! Even worse when we put in a performance like we did on Tuesday night and I can’t get to sleep after it because I’m so gutted and I’ve then get to drag my arse out of bed for a ten hour shift in a factory on about 4-5 hours sleep. I’m sick as **** tonight like, I tried to take my mind off it by watching the rugby but found myself scouring the internet every 5 minutes checking (or hoping) to see some news on LJ’s future. Is wanting the club not to be a perpetual laughing stock too much to ask? It shouldn’t be this hard to get Sunderland AFC out of the 3rd tier ffs. It makes me so angry. If only the players felt a smidgeon of the hurt I’m feeling. I work my bollocks off doing a drab, tiring job week in and week out and spend a lot of that hard earned money watching those absolute charlatans put in performances like that. Minging.
Yes well done, we tend to forget when teams do well against us. Special mention to nigel clough also, think he has a voo doo spell on us after relegating us with Burton and having 2 cup wins with Mansfield and all 3 at our place
feel for you mate i was like that once the only comfort i can give is like many on here the pain eases with age the heart is still there its just not pumping at the same rate unless we win
