So what did the players read, because the polls would of been brilliant before they started dishing up the s hit.

Not sure if farke would be realistic but i think he’d be a good fit. The club is trying to get an identity with the type of players we’ve brought in and there’s been signs in the first couple of months of the season they’re capable of playing good stuff. Norwich had an identity under farke, one I think fits with what we’re trying to do, 2 promotions on his CV as well. Just not sure he’d drop to league 1.

He looks and sounds totally ****ed, I don’t think he’ll turn it round now. Pity cos I loved the football at the start of the season.

have always been a 'give them a fair chance' type person, even if i was not in agreement over a managerial appointment or player purchase i figured those in the know knew much better than me so i trusted them to prove me wrong.

i honestly do not think the fans have suddenly turned and made it difficult without good reason, this has not been a gradual loss in form it was basically one game to the next and most have not been 'just say' losses, we have been stuffed goal wise...when things go well the manager takes the center stage and milks it, when it goes wrong he should have the nads to stand there and take the sh1t.

i have no idea what has happened, the 2-1's were doing my head in a wee bit as the final minutes were always tense but we did seem to be heading in the right direction, with lads coming back from injury and the new lads gaining confidence and growing into each game, i feel we are all on the same page here as to trying to understand how this 'flip' has happened, something has changed and the manager plus his backroom staff should have picked up on it by now and started to sort it out but as fans we are not noticing any change and from reports of today (mansfield) it sounded as if there was just no urgency or style in what the lads were doing.

so, as it stands i firmly believe LJ has been given that 'fair chance', some would argue he has had more time than he should after our bad run at the end last season...we are currently still in with a good chance due to our position and earlier performances and i think if the plug is to be pulled then it needs to be done fast, i am not against LJ but the club must come first.

I can't see him dropping down to L1 tbf, not a chance. Done well with Norwich though, not sure what more could have done with them

He mentioned being the best player in the world then all of a sudden the worst. He needs to fix it not the fans.

We need a Peter Reid for me. Direct football, from back to front nice and quick and effective (no not long ball but certainly not the back 4 passing it between themselves 20 times), get the balls in to the box and pressure teams effectively. Tippy tappy pissy passy football may look nice and work well in the Premier League with 100 million pound players but this is league one with not even 1 million pound players! We've seen what can be achieved when you run at players in this league and move the ball quickly.

The next appointment when LJ goes is gonna be a huge appointment in the history of this club.

Nah me either, I just struggle to think of names to potentially replace Johnson. Yeah seems a bit harsh especially after their first win, not sure who they think will have a better chance of keeping them up.

have to agree 100% with this simply because i hate all this premier league 'keep ball' crap, it looks good for all the stats and re-sale value of players but if it was THAT good then man city would win everything going...did we have 2/3 of all posession last week and still lost heavily?

get the ball into the box, that is exactly what these teams have done to us recently instead of passing around the back four as i would argue no one has a better defence than us (or worse, at the minute however you want to look at it) yet we fail to put them under enough pressure.

I’ve seen Warnock mentioned, think he’s a good manager and had a good career. But for me under KLD we are trying to change and progress the club long term, bringing in a 70 year old manager isn’t the way I think we should go

If this forum is anything to go by it looks like the general mood is get rid or is it a case of the out brigade are simply more vocal?

Personally I'm not a one for sacking managers when the team goes off the boil. Football is a funny game and form is up and down especially at the level we are.

I love it how the players seem to be getting off without criticism mind barring Onien who is getting pelters for a run of bad form.

I'm looking at the big picture here and thinking weve just played 2 of our hardest away games of the season and been beaten then today been knocked out of the FA cup a competition few seemed to give a **** about 24 hours ago.

Not exactly the armageddon type scenario it seems a lot are making it into.

I've read a few people stating they believe something has gone on behind the scenes I personally have no idea if his has or hasn't happened but my theory is if it was that bad someone be it Johnson a player or a coach would have been reprimanded by now and to my knowledge this hasn't happened. If it was a simple argument between a player and a manager this should in no way affect anyones performance on a Saturday. As has been said on the matchday thread I've had managers I've disagreed with but I still do my ****ing job to the best of my ability as it's what you do. Then again modern day footballers are pampered little twats notorious for throwing toys out of the pram so they probably wouldnt share that mindset.

Anyway I'm probably in the minority but im not calling for Johnsons head. Looks like theres gonna be some fan pressure over the next day or 2 which may force the owners hand but we will wait and see.

He said lots of things affect the players. Doesn't mean he was blaming anything he was just saying that things can knock their confidence.

Didn’t realise that as I’m not on any of them, it didn’t seem to bother them though, so what was said to make us score 1and concede 14?

If there is one group LJ cannot ever, ever, blame, it’s Sunderland’s fans. 30,000 each game in League One at home, 5,000 travel away on cold Tuesday evenings. Everyone on this forum, everyone in the SoL, everyone figuring how to get to Gillingham, Crewe and Fleetwood, everyone paying hard earned cash for tickets and travel are the best assets any manager in League One has, and the envy of every other manager and chairman. If he really is going to blame the fans he’s finished.
