I usually like his patter and what he has to say. I don't mind the corporate "bullshit bingo" that he says. But, his interview tonight wasn't too clever imo. He has said a couple of things that will be jumped on. Naive? Possibly. Or is there something more to it.
A pathetic interview no matter who he blamed. He just isn’t someone who looks like he is capable of turning things around. Quite who would take over and turn things around I just don’t know. Wheels falling off lap by lap.
Speculation on my part, but in the Mansfield interview he said some players have lost confidence: however in his last 2 post-match interviews it looks to me that he's the one who's lost confidence. I'd have to guess the players pick this up, and that has to undermine the confidence of especially the young players. No idea how you turn around a downward spiral like that. The great thing about managers like Brian Clough and Ferguson is that they don't know the meaning of lack of confidence. That's got to help the players believe there's a way out of the inevitable bad spells.
Blaming the fans? What bollocks. He was saying that external factors can affect the players' confidence and gave a number of examples.
Missed watching the game, on the back of recent events and against these I expected a turn up in performance but reading these comments it appears not?

So do I to be honest but sadly those types of managers won’t work under the structure we have and will continue to have for a while yet. I’d have Keane back tonight but sadly that won’t happen as we stand now.
