Just had a quick look and found this statement: 'Under Article 23.2b of the Formula One sporting regulations, “each driver may use no more than 3 engines,” across the season.' from https://www.thefocus.news/sports/mo...les-explained-after-mexico-city-gp-penalties/ Looking at Article 23.2 here: https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/2021_formula_1_sporting_regulations_-_iss_11-_2021-07-12.pdf looks like it's a drivers use of PU units. So that does suggest there is no way Lewis can use Bottas's PU's. Does seem weird that Bottas has taken 6 ICE units to Lewis's 4, maybe 1 of Bottas's still had 'the issue'?
Thank you, they have certainly buttoned that up but allowed for the George scenario when driving for another competitor. Takes me back to my contract negotiating days in the IT world.
Epic line from Andrew Benson "The good news for Mercedes, such as it was, is that Hamilton and Bottas were second and third quickest." Amazing journalism
Disappointed at the lack of pace from McLaren and Ferrari today - whether they can spring any surprises tomorrow remains to be seen but they’re nowhere near so far. No one looked comfortable outside of RBR and Merc
Unless Merc have found something special overnight then tonight could be pretty onesided! Fingers crossed for Sunday either way
Looks like voting closed before Qualifying but had I had time to vote it would be Verstappen I would have voted for. I feel Mercedes are not up to the task this year. Might be good for Mercedes to get a shake up, been too easy in the past. I still think Max will get the WDC this year too.
There have been a few under the Merc dominance. Let's not knock that they finally have been challenged.
If red bull are having to keep repairing rear wings on both cars, how are they going to survive a full race?
