We've just thrown away the 3 points against a team playing with 10 men for the second half. Everything that's bad and wrong with Bristol City was on show today and we were outplayed and out managed by Coventry. This was as shocking a performance as I've ever seen and I'm afraid that we don't have the desire or tactics to change that scenario. Lansdown needs to read the riot act and demand at least better performances but I think the players have totally lost the plot and don't even know how to play the game of football. Heads need to roll and I fear we are heading in the wrong direction and the current crew don't even know the way. Is there a book called "Footballing for Dummies"? Will Pearson see the light and exit stage left?
Absolutely dreadful, against 10 men. We deserve and got nothing. Dreadful tactics, dreadful passing, sat back countered for some ridiculous reason.. Not good enough
Thought the first act was to make them fitter and fighting to the end. How many times in one season are we going to get a goof ****ing in the last five to ten minutes. We are going to hear can’t turn a turkey into a swan, or it’s all his fault, or his fault. But I’m seeing **** all change since the messiah arrived.
Hard to fathom as RP, RR, and Wiz keep saying every week that this squad is fitter, has better team spirit, has better morale etc. No proof looking at the number of points we have thrown away in the final minutes of games this season. We played for 45 mins against 10 men, but still only had 40% possession all game. Appalling!
v 10 men for 45 minutes .... allowed them 8 shots same as we got in 90 mins ..... 2 on target both goals v 10 men we got a corner they got 4 ..AGAINST 10 MEN we scored 1 GOAL .... THEY SCORED 3 WOW what next ... i get a eeeerie feeling SL wishes he had stuck to DH and S&D / S&D ... MAYBE there will be a big change on the horizon ...... edit they had 4 shots on goal with 10men and 3 were goals not 2 shots
Something has to change, surely. I expected to lose tbf, but it’s the manner of the loss, yet again, it can’t keep going on.
I'm sure there are many sharpening their collective axes after the most dismal and shocking display I have ever seen by anyone. I don't know who came up with our game plan today but as usual we made all the same mistakes and got the same result. Many pundits will be asking how on earth any team can play the entire second half against 10 men and allow them to control the game and score 3 goals? Something is seriously, and possibly even worse, going on at Ashton Gate and I predict that in the next week we could get unwanted news coming down the pipe. To say our performance out there today was shocking is being very kind and if you want to be cruel then you have to say that virtually none of the players showed up with their brains today. Ah well at least they don't have to walk home.
If I was him I'd walk citing health issues, got to be better than working with these wasters we currently have at this time.
I’m going to boot the cat when I find it. The bastard thing has worked out to go hiding on the 80th minute.
I have to say that I am totally disgusted with my team after today's performance and maybe I will say it for the first time but I have lost all faith in what Nigel Pearson has brought to Ashton Gate. The performances just get worse, with little or no hope of improvement, and our constant belief that falling back on defence is the answer to playing against 10 men or when we are ahead is madness beyond comprehension and yet we continue with the same plan game after game and expect a difference. The simple answer is we don't have a plan, or someone who is capable of putting together a competitive squad with a solid game plan, and the results and capitulations should now have dire consequences to those who supposedly run the show. Where the hell do we turn for redemption after what we witnessed today? I'm sure if you look up the word useless in the dictionary there will be a reference to Bristol City. Mad as heck doesn't even come close to my feelings after succumbing to 10 men by allowing them 3 goals in 45 minutes.
