I have - get on and enjoy life as it is rather than constantly going on about how everything's corrupt and it would be better if we adopted some Utopian ideal that, in most cases, has proved to be about as much use as Anne frank's drum kit.

I agree, capitalism has failed us, as we have over-utilised our resources and in turn over-borrowed in a reckless charge based on consumerism and aspiring opulence in a never ending spinal of demand that lay ruin our environmental and natural support mechanisms sustaining our future demands, plus our very enjoyment of the planet's richness and even the support systems for existence as mankind itself - things have to change!

Unfortunately, the parts of Marxism that aren’t statements of the bleedin’ obvious hinge on an interpretation of human nature that you wouldn’t have thought would pass muster with an eight year old.

Added to that you have subsequent individuals who’ve taken Marx’s ideas and produced utopian (or dystopian depending on your point of view) ideologies, the pie-in-the-sky end results of which have led to all manner of craziness to occur to justify the theoretical end.

Like the religious nightmares of pre-renaissance times (or certain Islamic modern countries), such extreme ideological stuff is best left for bearded twerps to ruminate over in front of their shelves of foreign language art house films they’ll never watch.

the problem a lot of the time is not the ideology but corruptions of that ideology

If you like the concept of 'all animals are equal' is not the problem its the 'some are more....' which gets added on that makes the ideology non viable
