We don't seem to be making any kind of progress at the moment. All I see are 'global problems' that are 'out of our control'. Any crisis isn't really that bad because 'insert country' has it worse than us. More migrants arrive delay and we just keep them ... ... is anything actually improving cos it would be nice if it was. I don't see much leadership from the PM tbh.
I do think the levels of hypocricy, contempt for the general public and the rule of law, sleaze, and the redistribution of tax payers hard earned cash to Tory party donors and friends and family of Tory MP's has improved immeasurably under Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson to be fair
I'm not as politically minded as some on here. I just want to see us with hope as a country and some benefits from Brexit. I don't like all this 'war with France' etc. The PM doesn't seem too interested in running the country, just being PM.

This, and various other things, should make people wonder about the PM and whether he's actually corrupt. But I honestly believe people don't really care any more. There's a general atmosphere that somehow all of this money sloshing around will filter down to us. If everyone has totally lost track of what's going on, as I have, it'll just get worse. It's like we're hiding a smokescreen with another smokescreen. If there's a scandal just engineer a row with the French so people get angry with them instead. If all else fails make a big announcement about being the greenest country on the planet by 2050 and that'll keep people quiet for a while. Corruption in office is now seen as no big deal ... ... Cummings encouraged it, revelled in it and has turned poacher to gamekeeper out of spite. The dirt that was once hidden is now on show and people lap it up like a soap opera, weird.
Radio 4 yesterday. Two Whitehall-type civil servants. One who worked in Number 10 under Theresa May, one who worked in County Hall for Boris when he was Mayor of London. Both said that the major problem is that Boris is impulsive and doesn't realise the consequences of his actions and that there aren't enough people in the Number 10 machine who are brave enough to tell him when he's doing something daft.
I have to say it sent a chill through me listening to John Major on the News this morning. He said there's an attitude of '' We're the masters now' in the Government. He's an old fella who doesn't seem to relish confrontation so it was a bit of a shock. You can hardly credit it. The Tory Party walked the last election. Labour had got themselves, with no outside help, intp very deep Sh1t. Then Boris, with a blatant example of cronyism, goes and hands over the advantages to The Opposition. IF he couldn't forsee the outrage that his support of his friend would cause, then his poliical judgement is below that of even the Loony Left. Time for a change of PM, preferably one who thinks with whats between his ears rather than -----------(please feel free to finish this yourself).
It's amazing how quick people are to shrug it off tbh ... ... it reminds me of how Newcastle supporters accept what's happening to their club.
I think the biggest problem with politics, and i am no expert as anyone who's had a political conversation with me will vouch for is no matter which party they are from, they are all corrupt, it comes with the job Even if they went in to it full of ambition to change the way politics is ran they soon succumb to the financial benefits that are available in the I scratch your back if you scratch mine of politics.
There are many decent people working on behalf of their constituency ... ... sadly there are too many who are corrupt and that no longer seems to hinder their ascension.
