Probably one of the most one sided cup finals in recent history. Possibly more notable because 70 (Chelsea/Leeds) went to a replay, 71 (Arsenal/Liverpool) was tight, 72 Leeds/Arsenal was a close encounter followed by us in 73. Then a 4-0 humping and it could have been so much more.

 

A) The supporters are innocent, it's out of their hands.

B) They're actually really nice people and they are trying hard to change.

C) You're jealous and so is everyone else.

There is barely a group you can think if that doesn't gave just cause to demonstrate against the odium of that state.

Women, gay people, Jews, Christians, immigrant ( slave) workers, journalists, political opponents and on and on. Basically anyone who is not a born male, Saudi, sunni Muslim.

They are aiming for a sportswash, and from the useless talking heads on talkshite and Sky they will get it. But they have also given a public platform to all the multitudes of people who have suffered at the bloody hands of the Saudi tyrants.

If this is really about Howe's backroom staff it makes you wonder if one of them is a woman, a gay, a Jew, a Christian, partner of a journalist, etc.

If so they'd have to be a huge hypocrite to join the other hypocrites already there.

 

What if the snag is that Howe doesn't want Jones as part of the coaching team, and the owners and Jones are insisting he remains part of it?

 

Presumably they've still got that clause in about sacking them if they go down, if they wouldn't drop it for Emery I doubt they'd drop it for Howe. I can't see him being keen on that, I imagine he's looking for his next long term project not risking a quick cash grab and another blot on his CV.
