As ive said before BB.... mccant gave them a gig on better wages than they would likely have secured at a ,lower level which for some seems to be where their skill set is... no wonder they will back him, they're grateful for a job, I think would struggle to get one on a third of the wages..

Very probably. Heard it this morning from the postman. So there must be something in it. Word soon gets around the sorting room.

Believe his contract is only till the end of the season. Saw that the owners couldn’t agree an extended contract with him
So must be 6/7 months needed to pay him off!

It seems accepted fact that he's on a rolling 12 month contract, so at any given point he has 12 months to run. I think we've been over the mechanics of this a few times so I think my recollection is right, but stand to be corrected.

If it is internal (and actually I do think the Allams might see our current form as no bad thing as it will surely encourage a buyer to sign on the dotted line ASAP) surely they are more likely to simply put him on gardening leave and temp promote internally, to move the payout problem to the new owners rather than have to pay his years contract off?

Pretty sure there was a clause relating to league position in the contract Adkins rejected. A payoff may be less then 12 months depending on that.

    .
I would not like any of the Ex-Players managing us i should think they will be looking or have looked and found what they need, i also do not think any of them have any real experience or enough to deliver what will be expected for the club.

Problem with ex-players especially with the type of fans we have is if they do not deliver they will not be so much of a hero they will get treated like most managers do when things do not go as planned.

Surely that isn't what the rolling contract means. That's basically a never-expiring contract. It's just a one-year deal that's renewed every summer isn't it? So he'll have 7 months on it now.

In all honesty it doesn't necessarily follow that if they've been a good player they become a good manager, Fergies lot at Man Utd seem to have been the more successful, but generally speaking success on the field doesn't usually mean they are guaranteed success off it. I'm with you on the fact we need someone with managerial experience, and I'm getting sick of saying it but for me Wilder ticks all the boxes.. couldn't give a flying fk if he beat his chest as a blade tbh, he was employed by them.and it was his team while he managed them. He can beat his chest as often as he likes and call himself whatever the fk he likes if he comes and brings us success

When my graft refer to a rolling year its always a year from whatever date it currently is.

A year every summer would just be a repeat fixed term.

That’s a one year contract, not a one year rolling contract.

I'm sure we've talked about this on here before and I'm pretty sure it's that, whatever terminology you wish to call it. A manager permanently having a full year left on his deal would be a strange arrangement, and for the Allams to be behind it would be really bizarre.
