Leeds are struggling with second season syndrome now. I think owners see their team do okay that first season and think they don't need much recruitment. But it does look like Sheff utds owner made commitments to Wilder on players that never materialised.
Found out ? They hadn't won a game until relegation was assured. Even his own fans turned on him. I'm not shouting the bloke down either, but I find it odd that he's suddenly become flavour of the week because he spoke well on MOTD. I've no axe to grind with him except his 'I'm a blade through and through' views. He is as good a shout as anyone else I've heard put forward.
There was a definite breakdown in the relationship between Wilder and the owner over transfers that had been rumbling all that second season.
They beat Newcastle at the start of January so I don't think relegation was assured at that point. He's not just flavour of the week because of MOTD, he has a very good record at building squads and players into a formidable outfit.
I don't doubt it, it's just I don't want to write him off as a player yet. We only just signed him to loads of fanfare, he's barely had chance to play yet but when he has he's looked top quality. I want him on the pitch.
I Can’t believe that Eleven Hull City fans are still backing Mcann. They must be other teams supporters taking the Micky! Lose at Barnsley which is quite probable then even the Allams will get rid, unless of course the takeover is very close! Billy B
Do you say these things just to be contrarian? Exactly who do you think would be better that is currently available all things considered?
To be fair to Urika he has said at the end of his last post that Wilder would be as good as anyone who's name had been put forward.
Sorry.I wasn't aware that you could and / or needed too? I cast my vote an eternity ago, don't really bother posting on here anymore and didn't think changing my vote would change anything at the Club.
Like to think your right BBP but cant see the Allams folking out 12mths compensation pay for the sake of a few weeks, that might change though if the prospective buyer starts to get cold feet, the further adrift we get and the value of the club decreases as we slide towards league one.
In your haste to prove me wrong you forgot to add that it was Sheff U and Wilder's first win of the season, at home, 1-0 against a team everyone was beating for fun.......second week in January.
No and I don't know where this Wilder love in has come from. Would you have taken him this time last season ? It doesn't matter who I think would be better then is currently available. My money is on an internal appointment, possibly dependent on tomorrows result, until the take over is concluded.
Heard a rumour that City have identified two names to take over. One is a current championship boss, the other is on job seekers. No idea who, though I suspect its bs.
If we get beat tomorrow then surely something has to change. But it makes sense not to expect the Allams to make a permanent appointment with a takeover on the cards.
I don't think 'City' have been in touch with anyone. Obviously the new owners will have identified their targets for after the takeover completes.
