After a difficult week we face a trip to fellow to a team promoted with us but it’s fair to say a team who have had a much better start than us, who hasn’t?! It’s difficult to predict what Farke will here, he must know the fans aren’t happy? Does he stick to his guns and his new system or does he revert back to a tried and tested system of 4-2-3-1. Similarly with the players, does he continue with the players that are simply not producing or does he ring the changes. I would personally do both but I doubt we will see a change in system or personnel from Farke. We desperately need a win and I really hope Farke can stop the rot with a win in this one and start to bring some belief back to the team before it’s too late - because I don’t believe it is too late to turn things around just yet! Positive vibes time! ON THE BALL CITY!!!
Farke should affix a remote control electric shocker to some players and every time they do something stupid give them a zap. Otherwise, I'm still confident we can at least be in a fight for 17th place.
It would help if he didn't encourage them to play in ways that increase the chances of them (and others) doing something stupid. Kabak is an obvious example. He has made at least one of those runs with the ball, or attempted to, every game he's played. Would he be doing that if he wasn't being encouraged to do it? If we were playing well and defending soundly, his ability in that respect would be valuable. As it is, it causes more panic in our own ranks than the opposition's.
WTF. You know this because .....? You really are the pits Robbie. None of us like what is happening but to post such tripe is unbelievable, even for you.
Yes, quite pathetic really. He is like a child in a sweet shop, finding it impossible to contain his excitement..
Why do we not have a Skipp-replacement DM? Because DF didn't want one. Instead we signed Normann and, good though he is at what he does, instead of a DM we have a "pass the parcel" midfield with shared responsibility to cover the back 3. It's working a treat, isn't it? If you think I make this up, you clearly don't bother to read widely enough. You don't like what's happening, but neither can you bring yourselves to acknowledge the reasons for it. And don't say I haven't been consistently warning ...........
So Farke will probably be forced to play 4 at the back. Wonder if he'll choose Gia or Williams for LB since it seems possible that he's fallen out with both of them?
I don't think he's fallen out with them, Gozo. IMO it was a tactical change for Leeds, as both of their WBs are AMs. With Hanley definitely out and Kabak a doubt because of glandular fever, we may well revert to to a back 4 unless he's willing to play Sørensen as the third CB like he did in the pre-season. My guess would be a 4-3-3 formation: Krul Aarons, Omobamidele, Gibson, Giannoulis Lees-Melou, Normann, McLean Sargent, Pukki, Rashica Subs: Gunn, Williams, Sørensen, Gilmour, Rupp, Tzolis, Idah
Oh, not Sargent again, please! That would make 7 times he has started (not including the Cup game against Bournemouth). I think we can safely say he has had his chance. Surely someone else deserves a go, especially since that line-up sounds less like hoofball.
I did think about that, Gozo, but considering our losses in defence I thought we need Sargent's all round skills against Brentford, including his pressing their defenders. I would have no problems with Tzolis coming in though, because their CBs are not their strongest players. That would let us counterattack more while they're pushing forward.
Enjoyed that, but it was in the Championship and we had plenty of those last season. So much harder in the PL.
Tomkinson was left out last night so I'm expecting him to be on the bench today as centre back cover due to suspenjuries. I discovered yesterday that if I use the browser on my daughter's Xbox to use hesgoal HD stream it's crystal clear without lagging for the entire game. After years of laptops ,cables, casting and various Kodi builds this is the best method of dodgy streaming so far through my telly. You can't legally watch 3pm kick offs so no point in paying Sky & BT anyway.
Grant Hanley will miss Norwich City’s trip to Brentford this weekend with a groin issue sustained against Leeds United on Sunday. There is also a question mark behind Ozan Kabak, who is struggling with glandular fever, Daniel Farke confirmed in his pre-match press conference. Christoph Zimmermann is still out, however Ben Gibson is now available again following his suspension. Sam Byram is still making progress in training but not is in contention for the first-team squad this we koekend.
