Let's not get too despondent. It's looking likely we won't have McCann come the new year, if we can pick our form up a bit we can survive. Remember Leicester 2014-15? Beginning of April they were 7 points adrift, ended up finishing 14th, went on to win the PL the following season. It can be done. UTT!
but it will be very very hard to recruit the calibre of players we need if we are cut adrift at the bottom. We needed to make a change 1 month ago
Well, we didn't so we're kind of stuck with that. Let's see what sort of tune new management can get out of what we've got with a few additions in Jan maybe? It would be good to get something out of Barnsley on Saturday though...
Allams are using the current form to press the deal. They aren't going to sack the manager but apparently the aim is (and always has been) to have it done by the end of the month.
We have Barnsley and Cardiff in the next three games lose them both I don’t see a way back presently.
It's hardly a write off. If we get to Xmas and have picked up enough points to stay in touch, then there's 69 points to play for in the second half of the season. I'm sure if we smashed the recruitment we could pull it off.
Not going off any info but I'd suspect the next manager is a done deal. There seems to be a clear plan from the new owners so it's just about waiting now. After Barnsley we've got the INT break which is a perfect time to bring a new gaffer in and work the the lads on the training ground. If I was Acun, I'd almost certainly pay the money to switch gaffers in advance as we need a change badly
I don't know if it's quite a done deal but I do know there have been UK and Foreign based coaches approached, some have been in discussions for a while.
He's had no money to spend of course during the summer but the money has been wasted on wages for players that have done nothing since they arrived. He isn't a good manager or judge of players. That much is obvious and the sooner he's gone the better. We'll never know of course but I'm confident that if he'd been given money to spend that he'd have wasted it anyway. He'd get more respect from everyone if he just came out and admitted that the squad isn't good enough and the reasons for it rather than the customary ****e about his 'group' and 'what I'm interested in.'
