Yes I saw that. The Suarez booing was odd tbh. He didn't get it when he came to Anfield with Barcelona but the vision of him like a wild beast in the last game, I think showed the fans something that they were neither expecting nor liked to see. After his ott celebrations when he scored against us with Barcelona in Barcelona, I would have thought that the severing of the link had already happened but his reception at Anfield following that proved that it hadn't. Tuesday showed it has now.
Think he got a load of stick after the Barca game for his attitude. He got a round of applause when he went off yesterday though
When you see suarez and torres posing with kenny you know anything after their time at anfield was a step down.
Re the suarez hate. Personally for me i love the guy, many lost that love for him when he laughed in robbos face and tried his well documented antics against us while at barca but isnt that exactly why we loved him.. Because hes a fuking extremely talented ****house of world class proportions? Hes never hurt us an opposition player so its well over the top but for me hes one of the best ive ever seen at Liverpool so credit where its due personally.
No actually. He worked really hard and had some genius in his feet. That's why. The antics and ****ishness is and never was a reason to love him. He worked like an absolute dog every game. Ran forever, never missed a game through wimpy pain etc. The bad like being a total cheat and racist and of course backstabber were there as bad points not reasons to love the guy.
Agreed here. The guy gives 100% for his club no matter what. If you think that just cos he’s playing an ex team that he’d suddenly become a saint and go easy then don’t really know him as a player. We loved him because he was fully committed and I think while he’s playing he expects boos but as soon as the game finishes or subbed then he becomes a liverpool legend again.
It's never bothered me that a player celebrates against his old club. His loyalties should be with his current one, and delight at scoring for them is natural. If the celebrations are particularly muted and respectful then all well and good, but I'm not offended if he treats us like any other opposing team. If he went and gave the finger to the fans then he'd deserve some back, but otherwise it's not an issue for me.
