Has this new potential owner actually named this new manager he wants, for some reason I’m sure I read somewhere that he would like a few foreign players but maybe not a foreign manager. Today reading on here the man he wants has been named or is it more guess work.
I suspect it may be a foreign DOF with a head coach coming in as well. I've been told there have been British coaches contacted but that's all I've been told. No idea of any outcomes.
I’d only take Wilder from this list. The other 3 seem to be on a downward spiral in their management careers. My choice would be Hasselbaink at Burton. Did a remarkable job at Burton last year and doing well with what he’s got this season. Had a huge new manager bounce and we could sure do with that now!
I get the reason you put this up, Rover. But I think haven't heard that in years, so thank you for that
Given a choice I'd be going for Wilder as well if he would come, he knows these leagues and is a brilliant organiser, know nothing of the foreign manager touted, but it would be a big ask for him.to come in and sort this mess out in a league not known to him.
Why would it matter what league your in, it's 11 players a field 2 Goals 4 Flags it's all the same, managers and coaches do there home work on the teams they are playing each week, just because he has not coached in this league would not make an ounce of difference if it was him or bruce or wilder whoever. The job is the same where ever they go.
Because a lot of managers come in and don't realise the passion of our leagues, the relentless nature of it, and struggle to get to grips with it. Before they've had chance a months worth of games have gone past and we are marooned, we need an immediate reaction.
Theres no guarantee of an immediate reaction whoever comes in - though we got a bit of one from Silva, who'd never managed in England before.
True, but I would be willing to bet from what he has seen already Wilder has a few ideas to get us more competitive. Given he has been at a couple of games already apparently
Stop getting hysterical .. nowt to do with foreign or not .. its to do with knowing the league, what to expect and how to fix it. Dont try to put the foreign slant on it.
I already trust our potential new owners that no one knows about and there judgement what needs to be done then the ones we currently have.
Silva didn't know the premier league, Phelan did. I'd expect that whoever comes in they'll have managed at a good level, whether that's foreign leagues, European tournaments or international level in at least some capacity. End of the day were just gonna have to trust the new owners to get it right, but 'getting it right' is likely to be a long term aim as opposed to a short term kneejerk just to try and stave off relegation. Apparently the Turks first made contact when there was still no guarantee of promotion last year, so I'm sure they'd be prepared for relegation this season should the worst happen.
