Watched a scene from Comrade Detective where the pub patrons are sat round a black and white TV, cheering a chess match, like it's a football match.

    That's us...if we invite you

    A Short Note From JJ

    Dear Temporary Members
Running this site is an onerous task for scant reward. This is not The Athletic. The journalists on the latter have the free time required to focus on writing. They have a large international team of administrators to deal with subscriptions which are sold at upwards of £7.99 per month.
I like to believe I offer a more unique service but in the final analysis this is a value judgement which is made by my esteemed members and custodians.
Many of the readers who have been venturing a recurring £10 per month believe that the appeal months of September and January do not apply to them and as a consequence they are currently without a password.
I have never encouraged anyone to engage in a recurring donation of £10. Custodians of our site, who always have my back in September and January, may do so. They are on a data base and are sent passwords in advance.
Temporary passwords are exactly what they purport to be. One offer, One donation, One password.
I realise that PayPal encourages recurring donations as they deal in predictable revenue. I on the other hand consider a good month to be one in which I eat once per day and pay my bills as they fall due. Long term members will recall an absence of copy due to my singular inability to pay my internet bill which falls due on the 9th of the month.
There was no November offer this year. A member suggested that I eased my administrative burden by offering an end of year password for a minimum donation of £20. I considered three months to avoid spending Xmas and New Year in an administrative purdah. I settled on two months and if everyone had approached temporary password provision in the spirit intended I would not be writing this to disgruntled readers who chose a convenient method to donate the bare minimum.

I apologise if I did not make myself clearer. I honestly thought that I had but it has now become evident that recurring minimum donors do not read the featured blogs or the pinned tweets. They just carry on regardless of any appeals which are highlighted on my site for an entire month.
I will be sifting through the minimum donations today. Those who ventured an additional fiver in appeal months will receive a password.
If a subscription service is what you crave I recommend The Spectator for politics, The Economist for macro-economics, The Law Society Review for court reportage and The Athletic for tame football prose which never rocks the boat.
    Kind regards
    jj

    Oh my days!

Tims paying this charlatan 10 quid a month for maximum Sevcotration and it's not enough for the cùnt.

"Gimme more money or you're not getting a password"

    Strange breed indeed!

This **** used to be Russ’s go-to guy for accurate Rangers material back in the heady days of Sevcoing.

Russ was sure JJ was from Staunch Stock too.

This was in between times he accused the MSM of bumming up 14yo Billy Gilmour to overshadow the new Messi (Karamoko) who was the most exciting talent in the universe.

Fast forward a few years and Karamoko plays for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, has MOTM awards in the Euros and a CL medal under his belt as Gilmour rots in the Sevco reserves.

    Mystic Provan strikes again.

He's been ripping Tims off since 2010 mate. Him and Phil MacGobblegiver have fleeced the masses for over a decade. Sevcoing is a very profitable business.

    Cos they're idiots mate.

They would rather pay cùnts to say Sevco than acknowledge what's been going on at their own club for...well...decades!
