To be fair mate tonight is the first time I think has got it completely wrong. He has made mistakes in the past, who doesnt. If he was a top rank mgr he wouldnt be in league 1. Same with our players - they are league 1 for a reason. I would like to see him stay though because I do think he has shown he can get a team playing a style I like to watch and he has only really had one transfer window, which saw loads of players come in. I am old fashioned mate and think when the going gets tough you stick together and graft harder. Id give him more time to do that.
Funny, about this time last year this happened and they got Parky blew out i reckon it's deliberate, i thought i had seen the worst defending ever years ago but that topped it and we better get to 49 points or we might do a Doncaster by Feb. Keep johnson till January let him suffer like us poor twats then get another manager in and give him money.
He fooked up last game and admitted it mate but yes, I'm pìssed and pìssed off, and hope he gets it right. For all our sakes
You know your stuff mate and I enjoy and agree with most of your posts, but for me LJ has shown weakness time after time, his judgement is shockingly poor, bordering on laughable at times but its peoples hopes and lives he is wrecking, as there is no sign of any improvement, its horrible to say it but he has to go, and the sooner the better for all concerned.
looks like i am not alone in noticing we have been far too easy to score against lately, also, until last week i have always felt we were going to score and did not worry if we let a goal in...we are struggling at both ends currently and that means only one outcome. different team out or different manager needed, i don't know but it HAS to be sorted now, the longer we p1ss about the harder it will be to claw our way back.
Haven't seen the game, I've been on non-league duty, but looking at the line-up Johnson did exactly what I thought he'd do, and what I would have done myself. The stats show that we had more possession, more shots, more shots on target than Wednesday. So what went wrong? Its notable (based on the BBC Sport website) that Wednesday played with wing backs tonight, which has been out undoing previously.
We can’t keep sacking managers, he’s got to be given till at least January, this is his mess though and there is no denying something has gone wrong and it’s gone wrong very quickly. These are virtually the same players we were all praising only 3 weeks ago, I just can’t believe how badly some of the players form has flipped. Alves or Younger have to be given a chance. O9 & Doyle need to be dropped. He needs to try something different on Saturday coz if the crowd do turn there’s no going back
Wednesday took their chances - we didn't. We gave Corbeanu far too much time and space on the ball, he was the difference. We had a goal ruled out for offside at 2-0 and LJ should have made changes at half time. Their third goal was very lucky as Paterson screwed his shot but it fell just right for Kamberi. At 3-0 we just ran out of ideas.
I’m still chuckling about this: Sunderland 3 up, let in 2 goals and nearly drop 2 points. Interview immediately after game - Interviewer: Have your players any injuries? Keane: Not yet!
We were the better side and won the match between the boxes. Nothing to see here everyone it’s all under control!.
Thanks! I'll try and watch the game at some point tomorrow but it sounds like, on that basis, we could have got something out of the game. We've struggled against wing backs before, so it makes sense that Corbeanu would have caused us problems. Maybe Winchester needs to be replaced at right back?
