You know things were bad for the U23s tonight when Joffy wins MoM and gets marked as an 8 and he only played 45mins. The rest were gash, Nohan Kenneh did his best to marshall his defence after Cresswell went off at half time, but besides him with a 6 the rest of the team were 4&5s. you cannot expect 16&17yo kids to play against seasoned pro’s and expect them to put up a solid defensive wall. In attack our real 23s ripped them apart but were let down at the back and its not the kids fault, its the way we are having to set up due to first team injuries. Watching Koopmeiners batter Man Utd again tonight and I would love to know why we didnt sign him in the summer. Why did we not bother when we were talking to him. He is the best player on the park again and running the show. Him and Phillips would be unstoppable
