I think you need to watch it again, Deeney shifted the piss weak Vyner off of the ball with very little effort at all, that was a defenders ball all night long, Tanner was entitled to believe that Vyner should have won that challenge.
The players out there tonight need to hang all their heads in disgrace because against a team that hasn't had the best of seasons so far we were second best all evening. I am starting to wonder why NP isn't capable of getting more from the squad but in reality who knows where the root of the problem lies? Send your answers to BS3.
Indeed he did; however, Tanner ran inside the line and left Hogan completely free which is very poor. The commentators said as much on Sky, they were both at fault.
Maybe it wasn't as long as 2 years ago then, the memory play tricks, but when he came back from that loan spell he was in the team and playing well, but all his form and confidence seem shot now.
For me he has always had the talent but totally lacks application and always has, he is weak and casual and always has been.
I don't disagree, I think the same goes for Bakinson tbh. I cannot fathom why NP picked them both tonight.
Vyner couldn't cope with Deeney all he needed to do was to stand his ground, it's far easier for a defender to attack the ball from behind an attacker, by getting the wrong side he showed his weakness and total lack of nous and gifted Deeney with a ball that was a defenders ball all night long.
Total garbage from the players right through to the manager.. it was a garbage team selection, garbage tactics and garbage performance.. There were no plus points for me tonight, which is concerning. That was bloody dreadful
I don't think he is fully fit and neither is ODowda and I have thought for a while that James has been struggling for fitness, hasn't looked right to me for a while.
I already gave you it the other day.. Why play Backinson, why didn’t Massengo start and what was the thinking, starting Vyner?? Most of our ball distribution was bloody dreadful, predictable and hopeful.. Slow closing down, no pressure on their defenders.. chasing shadows.. do you want more??
Massengo is coming back from an injury that kept him out for over a month, Saturday he was involved in a very intensive match (especially having to cover for Bakinson and Weimann in midfield). Imagine the outrage had he started Massengo and he got injured again. I agree about Bakinson and Vyner, I think Vyner is not good enough and never will be and Bakinson needs to grow a set of balls he is far too weak.
