When they won, it was Bruce using Rafa's tactics When they lost, it was because Bruce is Ashley's puppet etc
To be fair the position they are in they have done well to get their 17th choice manager, shows how desperate some managers are.
There’s one just been on talksport. Jordan absolutely owned him!!! Jordan said “everything that went right at the end of last season was Jones, yet everything wrong was Bruce. Now Jones is in charge and has been here all season.” Also called them a sanctimonious ownership group!!! Not a fan of Jordan as a rule, but Christ yes spot on about this
The mag mates I have spoken to have all said , well he’s better than nothing, so not the greatest endorsement.
If I was them and they got Emery I'd be a bit nervous about it. Seems to be a good manager in Spain and not so much elsewhere. It's a pretty dire situation they're in in terms of staying up, is he the guy to turn that around...possibly but I wouldn't feel confident.
Failed with a far superior Arsenal squad. How will be fair with plodders like Joe Linton, Hayden and Longstaff?
Exactly and how much better will the team be after January? I'm not convinced top players who could virtually guarantee they'll avoid relegation will be queuing up.
The only interest I can ever have in them now is as a source of amusement. They are no longer football rivals at all, which is a pity. In fact they don't have a football rival, unless you count Man City and PSG. But their desperately needy fan base will always make me laugh. Nothing will ever be enough for them, and as if that was not sufficient, the sight and sound of hordes of them, old blokes too who should no better, debasing themselves before the representatives of a bloodthirsty and grotesque regime is always a neat reminder of the delusion and pitiful lack of self awareness in most of them. We owe them a huge debt for providing us and the entire country with such regular entertainment.
I’m also not convinced those at the club, knowing they’re likely to not be playing come January, would be so interested in “giving their all”
I'd put good money on them failing to beat Burnley, Brentford will give them a real game and Norwich will see it as a big chance ... ... I can see them winning one, perhaps two, but not three.
