Remarkably similar to Newcastle as they've turned on managers, protested and only 'wanted to compete' ... ... which is a ridiculous phrase, no one really wants to compete but fail. Still, Everton will soon have a shiny new modern stadium while Newcastle will be patching up the old one stuck on land they can never own. And, thinking about it I don't k ow who owns Everton tbh. ...
She’s just realised she talked out of turn and will be on the receiving end of a Russian flashbang when she gets home.
So it looks like Emery is the huge name they are going to end up with, spit my tea out when I read it.
Seriously, she's playing a dangerous game with these people. Even the most enthusiastic Saudi excuser can't say things have gone well since the takeover ... ... these people only want good publicity and so far there's been none whatsoever. They'll already be asking her some serious questions.
Huge downgrades going on up there right now. They'll probably end up with someone like Redknapp or Bilic
I saw it on the front of a paper recently and only saw the headline and thought what the **** is going on didn't realise the headline was just cause Harry wanted a bit if facetime so was telling old news
If I was a sane mag I wouldn’t mind Sheeeera and wright at the minute, I know it helps loads and makes life easier if there is two of you to bounce ideas off also they could possibly lift the dressing room. They probably wouldn’t have the guts to leave their cushy jobs though.
It would be nice to see them try! But they look like the need BSA to me, especially as he'd be able to hoy a few bob about in Jan. Emery might keep them up actually, he's a pretty good guy , and if he wasn't a stellar success at Arsenal, he is in plentiful company since Wenger. Might depend on how many points they can get before January really. Clearly, from here, they need at least eight wins to stay up, with maybe six draws. And when only two of your players look like winning you a game, that might take a bit of getting.
Think their “due diligence officer” is ****ting his pants atm!! Buy a football club. We’ll have no issue getting a new manager. I’ll do due diligence and ensure there are no obstacles. hang on, nobody wants to sign as manager here? What’s going on? Conte is out of work. We’ve got a few weeks to get someone like that in. oh, he doesn’t want to come here? Spurs have sacked Nuno. Conte goes there the next day? Huh? it’s rather amusing to me!! Can’t believe they still haven’t employed anyone! Jones was amazing last season. The only reason they stayed up. how quickly they forget?!
Anyone taking the job now is on a hiding to nothing. Their squad is extremely average and the start they have made is going to put the new manager under serious pressure from the get go. Then you look at their fixtures between now and Jan: Winnable Brentford (h) Norwich (h) Burnley (h) Losable Brighton (a) Arsenal (a) Leicester (a) Liverpool (a) Man City (h) Man Utd (h) Everton (a) Puts massive, massive pressure on those 3 home games. They could they realistically be on 10 points by Jan 1st with 18 games to go. Even the best recruitment will struggle to turn that around Do managers like Emery/Martinez really want that on their CVs?
I even saw one I know heaping all the praise for England on him during the Euros until Italy then it was back to Southgate. They praised Jones cause they couldn't accept that Bruce managed to turn it around.
Its possibly the most unattractive job in football. On top of their current league position and its potential to get much worse, you've got the strange attitude of a large part of their fan base, and now the negative association with the owners.
Then having the added pressure of having the Saudi's marking your work. There will be red ink all over the place, at least I think it will be ink.
