I guess cross that bridge if/when we come to it, but it isn't unheard of to part ways with a manager after promotion. Didn't that happen to Colin a few years ago?
You are mistaken Carrow. In his first season with us we finished 14th and behind some team that is now in league one. For those saying the recruitment was not right, that is Webbers' province, not Farkes'.
That's not how I understand it, GE. Webber said early on that Farke has the final say on who comes in but not the only say ie Webber can veto a player, presumably based on cost. If SW can veto a player based on talent or fit, then it would take both DF and SW to agree on signing a new player.
Not sure why people get so tetchy if a deadline or ultimatum is eventually handed to Farke . I would love nothing more than to see him win a game and do that shaky hands crowd participation thing again. I had hope after project restart and I had hope this season that he would get a win . 20 games later that hope is dispersing like a fart in the wind . Plagiarism DD. I posted the insanity a few days ago when I said that Dowell and Sorensen should be given a chance.
It's a tricky situation. A useful comparison might be Huddersfield. After scraping PL survival under the management structure SW set up, they lost faith when second season syndrome set in and sacked Wagner. The change didn't help and they sank to relegation. They then struggled against relegation from the Championship for two seasons and have finally got back into the top half of the table this season, but are currently 13 points behind leaders Bournemouth, who failed in their attempt at promotion last season after sacking Howe. Sunderland and Ipswich paint an even more dismal picture. There are darker places than where we are at the moment. For us, it isn't just a managerial change. DF is Head Coach under Webber. If Webber decides DF should go, it's unlikely that he would turn to any of the English managers mentioned. He'd go back to Dortmund or another German club to find a new coach who fits the system and players we have. I could see that happening if DF loses the dressing room, but the change wouldn't be what the booing fans want. So, might Webber go as well and we abandon the 5 year project that has made us a top 21 team? It could work, but if it doesn't, will we plummet down the leagues like Sunderland and others have done. It's a big decision with a lot at stake.
Dave Freezer's look at revival of Farkeball as a possible solution. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/could-revival-of-farkeball-hold-key-for-ncfc-8455980 I think a 4-2-3-1 is too vulnerable in the PL, but could see using a 3-4-2-1 for the next 4 games.
